I just got a new GT7 speed controller for my TC3 and I'm having trouble fitting it onto the chassis with that bulky capacitor. I know you're thinking, " if he gets such a pricey speed controller and he can't even get it on he must be an idiot." I can get it on but the only way is to turn it around backwards and tape the capacitor down as the mounts don't fit. I was wondering if anyone knew a better way of mounting it that gives a little more room or fits it more securely.

Buy an LRP.......J/K

Try mounting your receiver on top of your steering servo. You then should have more than enough room to mount the esc.

While most people don't have a problem with putting their receiver on a servo, every radio manufacturer I know discourages the practice. The potential for glitching increases exponentially. All electrical devices emit "noise" and putting the receiver directly on an electric motor and speed control (yes, I'm referring to the servo), your risk of glitching increases significantly. The power capacitor on your GT7 is on lead wires and can be zip tied (around the capacitor, not the wires) to the motor leads. You can also servo tape the capacitor to the top of the esc where it is out of the way (instead of the side of the esc case). If you do not want to cover up the top of the esc, just route the capacitor to the chassis next to your motor.

I don't have that ESC, but what I did with mine is mount it on the inside of the front shock tower. This allows more air around the heatsinks and makes it alot cooler.
