Thanks. This should be interesting. I've been to a number of countries, and in most, such as Brasil, Trinidad, Sweden, Spain, I've seen model aircraft flying. I'll be interesting to see what countries comprise the membership on this site.

I'm from the good ol' USA and I'm pretty proud of it, what an awesome country. I see many countries with less than we do, yet we still take what we have for granted, I guess that's just how it is. God Bless America!

I'm a bit pleased to see that Brasil is spelled correctly. Many people spell it Brazil, which is incorrect. My wife, who is Brasillian, can never understand why people spell the name of the country with a Z.

Brasil was spelled with "z" until late 40's, when the Portuguese speaking countries decided that the "s", between two vogals have the sound of "z".
That's when we changed it.

My Certificate of Birth, issued in 1946 shows Estados Unidos do Brazil, with "z" (United States of Brazil), at the top.

Later we changed to República Federativa do Brasil (Federative Republic of Brasil).

Please, give your wife the regards from a fellow Brasilian.

Here's another from the USA. Only place I've ever lived, although I 've visited a few places I think I would have liked to live in, had chance put me there at the start of my life.
