Hy Bax
Here i'm again
Churly you don't remember me but all my glow engines are supertigre (2x .60, 1x .75, 1x .90) and last week a bouth another g90. for a Panther of aerokevlar.

Well, mi friends tell me i'm crazy becouse i don't change to OS becouse for 3 times i'm doing hover with my UCD 45 (G90) and the rpm get down and y crash my plane. About the regulation of the carb i try with a lot of forms wet and dry, to fly pattern it's OK but to do hover !@%%$@#$%$ When i move the screw of mix i put the plane looking up and go full and let the RPM stay up, with the plane up i put low rpm and and then again go up. for me the plane it's ok when i can go idle to full without problems and with the plane looking to the sky.

Now a whant to put a Perry Pump. what do you think??????

I'm using APC 14/6 and 2/4 stroke 15 nitro with 18 syntetic oil.

We've never used a pump on a SuperTigre engine, so we have no comment about using one.

You may wish to try a fuel will less nitro. 15% is getting high for a SuperTigre engine. They were designed to run on 0%-10% nitro fuels. 5% is a very good compromise, 10% would be the maximum.

Please see the thread we have on tuning: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_1579985/tm.htm

Bax,

I understand if i used 5 or 10%nitro i have the same power and mabe run better than 15% and my engine don't get low rpm when i'm doing hover and the direction web tell me i need to choose an ideal prop, now i have 10.000 rpm. i see you tell about 12.000 rpm.

And it's not nesesary a Perry pump.

mmmmmmmmmmmmm well you are the master.

thanks

If you are turning the engine at 10,000 RPM, then you are turning it about as fast as is reasonable. We normally turn the engine just below 8,000 RPM. 10K is a bit on the high side. 12,000 RPM is the "red line" speed, and if you run it that fast, it will not last long at all.

Can some tell me whatPerry carb is the best one for my G90? Is it the Perry 4500 or the 4501. I just want it to run good and not keep shutting down on me in the air.

You need to ask this in the General Glow forum. We've never run a SuperTigre engine on anything but the stock carburetors.

Bax in another post here you mentioned that the 90 likes to be ran in the high 11K range on RPM but here you are saying in the 8K range, so which one is it? I run an older S90K and it is turning in the 10K range, should I be slowing that down?

Thanks.

OK, I don't k now what happened in that post, above.  It was in 2006.  That RPM range sounds OK for the G2300.  We'll run the G-90 as high as 11,000-12,000 RPM or so.
