Yes, I am on a road trip for the Company, and what am I doing on Saturday nigh in Houston Sitting in my room checking out RCU Yea, I know how to have a good time............

Left a foot of snow on the level and 20 degrees this morning with drifts on either side of the driveway 3 feet deep in NW Ohio. Got here by 1500 hrs and was at the Bayou City Clubs Scobee Field by 1630. (didn't even unpack my bags, just through them on the floor of the room and ran )

I used my GPS and the Latitude Longitude coordinates I have gathered on this thread and it put right at the front gate.

For all you guys up North, they aren't kidding, they really are flying down here (good grief - two guys were even wearing shorts and had tans).

Well, I need to get to bed so I can get back out to their field tomorrow, hopefully someone might let me touch one of their transmitters.................

Please keep the coordinates coming as you all start getting dug out from the snow up north, and for all you guys in these sunny parts of the country, take a quick break (you are flying more then 4 months more then we all are - you 've got time) and post your coordinates. You never know when I might show up at YOUR GATE - just look for the geek with the silly flying hat and the gps hanging around his neck.

Oh by the way - Thanks for the links to the sites, I've used Terra Server for a long time, but the others were nice additions.

the Club House forum? There is a new thread there that is "Show us SAT shots of your field. This thread could go hand in hand with that one.

If they are finding the fields using Terra Server some of them may have coordinates they could share with me which I am recording and posting to share with all others.

If not, that's cool.

For all you flyers out there headed to your fields for the first time this spring, please don't forget about me and posting your coordinates. The map is starting to look pretty good, although the guys out East must fly more then out West from the amount of fields I've gathered. (Huh - could this start a little bit of good natured competition?)

Happy Flying ALL.

By the way, a big THANK YOU to the Bayou City Flyers at Scobee field in Houston for making me feel very welcome during my visit. Even got a souvenir prop from Texas3D I now have added to me collection on the wall.

The Fayette Flyers field that closed at sundown yesterday (due to urban sprawl) was previously at:

N 33° 30.790, W 084° 33.950'

It was a beauty of a field and will be missed. We're currently looking for a new home - probably will be south of where we were.

for most of us. So now that your all heading out to the fields on a regular basis again, and were all probably doing a lot of bsing with the gang, would you please take just a few seconds to record the location of your field on a GPS and post here.

The map I'm creating is starting to look pretty cool

I think last count I was up to around 60 coordinates.

A big Thank You to all who have already submitted yours
