Whats up guys, i just wanted to know what you guys thought of my CT-5 upgrade. I just removed the .15 lightning engine and replaced it with a 40,000 RPM .12TZ turbo. I upgraded all the pulleys to aluminum to be able to support the increased reeving and speed. I just got rid of the Skyion controller and bought a Futaba 75MHz controller and Duratrex failsafe (which added 3 times the distance and MUCH more features. I also added a Cen aluminum tuned pipe and manifold. I upgraded my 75ml gas tank to a 100ml tank (thank you Crown Hobbies) to last a bit longer. A RBinnovations air filter was added as well which really allows ALOT of air in the carb(huge air filter, looks like a K&N filter). Upgraded my rubber slicks to foam (a hell of a difference) and changed my regular gas lines to larger internal diameter gas lines with fuel filter. I have not yet run my new engine, but i can imagine it BOOKS!!!(just waiting on some parts in from CustomRCcars.com) I was told not to go with the Cen upgrade flywheel due to inconsistent starts and idling. Now, what else would i be able to do to increase my low to midrange speeds? I was thinking of maybe a stiffer suspension, but does Cen have a suspension that will make a difference? I have also been told that the graphite upper deck will lighten the car and will make a difference. Is this true, will it make a noticeable difference? Any help is appreciated. Thanx

Hello every1! The CEN CT-5 with 4.6 big block motor was fantastic. The speed was really speechless, and insanely, riduculously fast. Over the weekened, I was racing with the Traxxas Nitro 4-tec 3.3, the Traxxas 4-tec 3.3 looked like that car was standing still when comparing to mine car.

With all the speed, the handling was amazing due to the front, rear sway bar, and the mid roll-over bar, plus the 0mm offset front, and 6mm offset rear rim/tires. It feels like it was on a rail. Pics, will be posting soon, with 2 of my CT-5's with 4.6 motor.

Hey Chris, I got all the parts from CENRacing.com, they don't really charging me except the motor. All the pulleys, and the belts, already came with the packet. They even break it in the car for me at NO charge, since I had problem breaking it in from beginning. The car is great, having so much fun with it, and I have 2 CT-5s' with 4.6 motor. BTW, the car goes over 90 MPH.

BTW, CENRacing guys are nice people, always speedy shipping, and great customer support. I am from NYC, and they from Cali. Every order, it takes no longer than 3 days to come, which was great. [)]

What would you say these cars are built for top speed or acceleration?

Hey Jr. Those cars were def. built for both unorthodox speed and acceleration. I mean, I did drag race with a Traxxas 3.3. It seems to be standing still onced the CT-5 launched.

A. Hey Chris, I am Queens as well.
haha, I thought I was the only person in Queens with CEN cars. All the hobby shops dislikes the CEN in Queens, Bklyn, Long island. IMO, CEN's cars are way better than most of the cars out there, anything from durability to craftsmanship.

you sent the whole car back to get all this done or they just tuned the engine for you and you put it in the car your self?
A. CEN did the whole installation for both cars. After that, I was gonna break it in the car myself. I had trouble doing that, so I sent it back, and they broke the car in for me. NO CHARGE at all. CEN Racing are really nice people by the way. Oh, fast shipping too, everytime was 2-3 days the most.

oh thats cool we close then. yeah i have to say cen service is very fast and helpful.i never had to make a phone call about a part i just ordered over their web site and very fast shipping. i never had anything bad to say about their products. besides that the gst pull start was very hard to get used to but besides that everything is good with my two cens. i believe all the problems that i have had was caused from bad tuning and not because the product was bad. yeah i broke things here and there but nothing to big yet.
