I need help setting up my futaba 7 cap for a heli-max mx400 i have no clue how to set up my radio i have never had to set it up. I know how to set up everything just not what to set all the settings at such as throttle hold, The gyro, And how to set it up for inverted flight. I was lucky enough on the last heli i got it came with radio that was already set up. Any help setting up my radio would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much everyone

Throttle hold is set on an electric at 0 percent throttle, that is, the motor shut off, on a nitro it drives the throttle servo to a reliable idle, since you dont have a throttle servo just set it to zero.

Is that a ccpm heli or does it have separate collective pitch, aileron and elevator servos?

Gyro check here http://www.futaba-rc.com/team/team-tip-002.html

I dont have a 7C so I dont know if its the same...Here's the 9C programming

First, unplug the motor from the ESC.
Turn on the TX and the RX

Now center all the trims, including sub trims.

You will be using SWH1 (swashplate1)

Go into the Pit-Curve menu, it should say NORM (NORM)
Set point 1 at 50, point 2 at 60, point 3 at 70, point 4 at 80, and point 5 at 100

Now pull the throttle stick all the way down.

Remove the servo arm for the collective pitch servo. And reattach it so that the collective arm is at the halfway point in its travel.

Now as you move the throttle stick up, you should see the blades go from 0 pitch to positive pitch.

Next change the Pit-Curve menu so that it shows IDL1 (NORM)
Point 1 should be 0, point 2 at 25, point 3 at 50, point 4 at 75, point 5 at 100

Go to SW Select in the advanced menu
It should read :
IDL1/2 = G
IDLE3 = F
T-HOLD = E

the letters indicate which switch controls what.

exit out of that sub menu

Go back to the Pit Curve menu.
Flip switch G and make sure it changes from NORM (NORM) to NORM (IDL1)

Now raise and lower the throttle stick. You should see the blades go from Positive pitch at full throttle to zero pitch at mid throttle, to negative pitch at zero throttle.

Now its time to program the Throttle Curves

Goto Thr-Curve
Make sure it says NORM (NORM)
point 1 at 0, point 2 at 25, point 3 at 50, point 4 at 75, point 5 at 100

Now change it so it says IDL1 (NORM)
point 1 at 100, point 2 at 75, point 3 at 50, point 4 at 75, point 5 at 100

Now change the MIX from INH to OFF.
Verify by flipping the G switch...you should see it change to ON

Exit that sub menu

Goto REVO MIX
make sure under MIX it says INH
Exit that sub menu

Goto to GYRO SENS
Change MODE to GY
Change MIX to ACT
Change RATEUP to AVC100%
Change DOWN to NOR100%
Change the SW to H

Now the basics are set-up.

Now switch H will change you from normal to heading hold on the gyro
Switch G will change you from Normal mode to Idle-Up mode. You can add IDLE2 and IDLE3 later.
Switch E is your throttle hold. Which you will have to activate if you want to use it. Default is INH (inhibited)

Now you just have to trim it all out, adjust the gains and throws on the tail rotor, and program anything else you plan to use like governors, mixes, etc.
The pitch and throttle curves are just a starting point. You WILL have to adjust them for your perticular heli.

OH...and one more thing....

You have the collective servo arm WAY out of wack. All the linkages should be 90 degrees. no weird angles.
Point the servo arm towards the front of the heli, instead of backwards at an angle like that.

If you have a PCM reciever in the heli...use PCM
If you have a FM reciever in the heli...use PPM mode
