Hello all.
I just got my self a new aluminum rotor head and tail drive gear.
Why... I don't know ...I thought it will look cool..

The head came assembled with the flybar but no padles and a new shaft (shorter than the original).
I installed it and I adjust the links and servos. The only problem is that the shaft has a play in it about 5mm up and down. That of course changes the pitch of the blades. Also whenthe main gear is down is touching the frame and the belt is out of allignment. I wrote to the manufacturer and still waiting for reply....

The other thing I git is the 180L brushless motor and 30A ESC.
The screws for the motor are too long and I can't attach the motor on the support.
The pinion gear has 10T and the original has 13T.

Did anyone eclounter such a problem and what the results were?
Any input will be greatly appreciated.

I guess your problem is simple... you did not place the colar on the shaft. without it you the shoaft will move.. and the gear will definietly hit the frame.. there is a colar for the shaft that you fix using an allen wrench.... I think you forgot to put it back when you replaced the shaft

I have to find the old shaft first. I'm sure is somewhere around here.

on the motor.. well i really dont have a 180L motorand i see that this motor has some problems but it seems to work with other guys.. I got a 380S motor by walkera on the 36 and it fits with the bigger screws the one i am using is the M3 5mm which fits really well on and not too long... for the pinion its okay to use the 10T since the 180L motor is rated at 3200Kv and this has enough headspeed for the heli to lift .. you can use 11T for better head speed 13T will generate more headspeed but its better to use the 11T
