I'm looking at mixing my own fuel for a OS91 VR ducted fan engine. I'm more interested in using the Aerosave type oils but they are not available in Australia (at all). I have also heard people using Motul Micro Oil in other engines with great success. Has anyone used Motul Micro oil in their ducted fan or pylon engines? If so any recommendations as to mixing ratios? Thanks.

Status: offline 		I think a good fuel for DF engines would contain 24% castor/syntetic oil in 50/50 ratio. Some people here ran fully synthetic Aerosave or Aerosynth2 at 20-22%. IMO a fully synthetic fuel is not really needed as the partly synthetic fuel will keep the engine clean inside.

Some of the guys run 0% nitro and some others ran as much as 20% nitro, so there is no rule.
5-10% nitro makes them more userfriendly and is good for cooler and more reliable operation and is the "recommended amount" for these engines.
