60pitchat70power,

Thanks for the lettin' me know, I just had no idea what 'my bad' meant. Just learned another thing.. Lipos are the greatest, just have to get the weight, mAh, motor and pinion gear right, for the way you want to fly and it's just to awesome. Backyard flying, aerobatics and 3D all take a bit of a different set-up.

Never to old to lean somethin',

Have fun, keep 'em hovering,

Dave / Choppersrule

Is anyone using these on a stock blade cp? Just wondering if the little extra weight makes much of a difference.

I've had them on my Blade CP Pro for about 2 weeks now, dont appear to do much to the flight, handling, or weight factor. They are strong, tough and not cheap and flimsy like the stock gear.. I love mine I'd buy another set but I dont think anything will happen to these for awhile..
I know I'm a happy customer

I just received mine today and have a few questions about installing them on a Blade CP Pro.

1. How do I install the front mount, do I need to cut off the two tabs that rise up, because they are hitting the motor mount.
2. How do I get the horizontal wing on (that holds the strut). I cannot remove the rear motor mount because it's glued in place and I don't want to break it.
3. Do I need to disassemble the entire motor assembly?
4. Do I need to use any more sticky tape at all?

The instructions are great, but I don't want to remove something I don't need to and ruin the set.

Ok hope this makes things easier..

1. DONT CUT THE TABs what I did was I slid off the stock gear, all the metal frames all the way up to the V where the motor or "main frame" is. The tabs should touch the bottom of the motor case, they slide right up in there and the 2 screws screw into place. Above the battery holder.
2. The horizontal wing, I removed 1 of the screws, left the other in but very loose, fed the tail blade strike pole through the wing and then mounted it in place. You will want to adjust it so that the boom supports are straight and tight.
4. I didnt take off my motor or anything above the main frame.
5. I didnt use any other sticky tape ..

Here are some pictures I hope they help its all I had at the time..

Ok, I got the skids on, a ziptie was in the way. The horizontal fin will not go on, I don't know if I need to remove the tail assembly or pull the pole out of the body. I'm not talking about the fin with the screws in it, that's obvious. But the one that holds the strut and is parallel to the ground (the one you don't have a full picture of). How do I get that on? Do I need to just pull open the gap and force it on? I feel I might break it if I do.

Nevermind, you do bend it. Saw it in the instructions. All is well so far, now for the battery mount.

Ok, installed. The bar for the canopy comes in contact with the bar for the battery holder, so it's a bit snug. Overall, very nice.

So for the ones who have put the superskids on the Blade CP pro with lipo and everything has it weight it down so much it wouldnt fly good?
And do you guys use all of the things it comes with? I was looking on superskids.com and I see they have the fin and the stifers from the gear to the boom (dont know what to call them) and the little ball for the rear tail rod thingie...

do you guys add all of this stuff? does it all fit liek it should on the Blade CP pro or do you have to mod anything to make it fit?

Thanks for the help

I'm very happy with my new skids. No more broken landing gear and it's looks better too.

I am running dual tail motors and shortened my boom by about an inch to balance it out. However I am removing them and going to the gws dd tail mod.

Night Prowler,
Get the Version 3, super skids, they are so much better than version 2. Plus, it has a bigger opening for the battery tray. Version 2, the biggest battery that would fit was an 860 mAh. With version 3, a 1200 mAh will fit. As far as the weight thing, you really don't know the difference. However, it is tail heavy, just move the battery forward. The battery tray on the super skids is designed for rubber bands to hold the battery in place. Me, I'm a velcro kinda guy, so, instead of using the the battery arms that came with the super skids, I just used the battery tray from the stock CP. No big deal there, just do which ever you are comfortable with.

No modifications are necessary, just take off the original skids for the Pro, and the super skids screw into the existing holes, that the originals came out of.

Oh alright, It looks good, I liek teh red, gives it a look of no other heli. I like to be driffrent.
And well I think the blade is stable stock so I guess this would help it out to be 100% stable.
