I ordered the kit from HeliDirect. The unassembled kit is only 11 bucks and is easy to put together. And yes theyre tough. If you do order a set youll see as soon as you open the package that theyre built to be strong. They do list seperate tailfins for replacement but I cant imagine breaking one. I didnt install my tailfin cuz I use a dual tail mount but I doubt youd ever break a tailfin although Im sure its possible.

If you go to super-skids site, they have superskids version 3 out now, which looks wicked.

Is anyone using these on a stock blade cp? Just wondering if the little extra weight makes much of a difference.

I used them on mine when the only mod done was an 11V lipo and a 9 tooth pinion and they were fine. Lost a little headspeed and it took a little over 3/4 throttle to lift off but it still hovered nicely. I dont know what theyd be like with the stock battery though. They might perform well but I think youd lose some flying time on your battery. Maybe instead of 15 minutes flying youd only get 10. This is just a guess of course.

I'm stock power, and it works well enough for me. It's invaluable. Though I may up the power soon.

Yea, I figure the same here. The skids are great though. I had the stock skids, and two crash kits. Where I live there are no local hobby shops, so everything is online. That means I can use my 6 stock skids for CF rod.

Theres 2 sites I think. The actual Superskids brand Im not familiar with. Dont know the webiste or pricing. Helidirect.com sells superskids . I bought the unassembled kit for 11 bucks and I think assembled are $18-20

heli direct has a knock off set. They are what I have. They work fine. the real deal is at
www.super-skids.com they are on version 3 now and they seem to have carbon fiber fins rather than the rubbery-plastic ones that resist superglue. They will crack though (the fins I mean) They also have a tendency to spin around the boom. I pit a wrap or two of electrical tape under the clamps to hold it in place. I have the dual tail so I dont have the CF rod to keep the tail up so Im using the rear fin to do it but its kinda flimsy and likes to jam my tail rotor.

It isisnt actually carbon fiber i dont think. I got my pair today ad judging by the fact that its increadably flexy, and it looks like a print, and not really like CF from up close.

just ordered a set 24.95 plus 5.95 shipping seemed pretty reasonable to me for all you get.also saves me some major reconstruction ,one of the things that the landing gear goes into on the frame were broke and ive been trying to rig it with epoxy avoiding having to take the hole thing apart to replace the frame.and another plus is ive always thoutht that the battery tray on this thing kind of sucked so will be nice to get rid of that also
