According to my measurements, the 110cc has the same firewall mounting dimensions as the DA 100...The 110 engine is shorter from backplate to prop hub by 16 mm...The prop hub bolt pattern is also the same as 3W and DA.....The end of the center bolt is also tapped for 10\32 spinner bolt.

I can hardly wait to see what the 150 will do. I'm thinking in a 40% Yak

I believe the first 3 sizes, the 150,110 and 75 are in production now....I just received a new updated version of the 110 in exchange for my first one....I has a different carb block mount and intake to allow a better midrange...I tested it on the bench and it turned the same prop at the same RPM as the first...

The gentleman that's building my Carden Yak has it now for measurements and such...I don't believe it will be finished before the snow falls....Unfortuneatly

So I'll be left drooling till spring.

I have a Mintor 140 since 2002 that probably has more than 1000 flights. The Mintor 140 glow has been one of the best engines I ever had. I also ordered one Mintor 110 cc that should come in the next two weeks for my new IMAC project. I will try to translate the manual. My roots are Italian and I can undertand a little. However, I have a good friend that teach Italian and I will ask for help to translate the instructions. I will post the most important sections here as soon as are available.

Regards,

I started the Mintor 110 cc first time in the back yard yesterday. It was very easy to start. Just follow the instructions and make sure that the carburetor is getting fuel. The high end in my case is around 2 1/2-3 turns out. The manual says 13/4 but I found that setting is too lean. The low end was better in the middle that was the initial adjustment. I used a couple of tanks and at the end of the second tank; the 28-10 was turning at 6800 RPM. The engine sound great (it is soft mounted) and idle is reliable. Transition could not be better and I would like to check it in fly. I am planning the first fly any time soon. Here some pics,

I found that the ceramic filter was causing the problem in the high end setting. My suggetion is to be careful wiht the filter type you are using. I took out the ceramic filter and the engine is running well with the 13/4 turns out now. I will do in fly break-in and I will update of final results when the engine is fully broken-in.

I'm another that's interested in the final outcome of this engine. We need another twin manufcaturer in a bad way and the Mintor could fit the market nicely if the quality, weight, and power output are in order.

So how are they working out?

I just picked up a 3M Mintor 150B4 with ignitions, I desperately need some instructions, heck, I don't even know how to hook up fuel and the remote needle to this thing. I also need to make a header system for it but I think I've found some Krumscheid flanges that'll work.

If anybody has a lead to where I can talk to anybody who knows about this/these engines, please contact me: dkjens0705@yahoo.com

Thanks,

I got my new Seb Art Su 29 2,6 yesterday (a beautiful kit). I had planned on mounting my 3W 106 into it. That was untill I went through the mounting instructions, and discovered this fantastic Mintor on the pictures. Now, I really have to get my hands on this engine. Awesome.

No, I didn't. I tried to sell my 3W, but no one wanted it. Now, it's resting in the SU. Too bad, since I really wanted the Mintor.
