Ok. I am making some progress. I tried switching from a normal frame rate to a Fast frame rate and I got it to program but it would was WOT in neutral and when I put the brake on it would stop. So I was going through my manual, which I rarely have to do, and I found that grip lever A is the brake End Point Adjustemets. I adjusted this to Zero and the esc wouldn't program at all. Then I adjusted it to 100 and now it is programming pretty much correctly, but I am not 100% sure because it is not programing exactly the same way the stock radio did.
I have been using JR since I first got in this hobby and I have found on a couple of occasions that it is not like the other radios, but then again, airtronics is not like Futaba either. I will continue to experiment, but for now it seems to be fine. I am going to try adjusting the brake end point to 125% to see how that affects it. Hope this helps you shanep.

Xmtr, Xmt, or Xtr is just a shorter way of saying transmitter and Rcvr is receiver. I appologize for the acronyms-just retired from the USAF and I'm still using the lingo.

Good to hear you're getting the JR problems worked out. I'll remember the D/R adjustments when my DX2 comes in today. Hopefully, I'll get her on the water splitting them there hydrogen atoms this evening. I have three good sized man made ponds practically right out my front door. One with a fountain.....mmmmmmmm...that'll be interesting going through.

I have noticed most guys refer to them as RX and TX.
I am headed to the pond this after noon with a video camera and my 6 year old camera man. lol
I have noticed the only thing I don't like is the hole in the top hatch that the antenna goes through. For today I will just use some bubble gum to keep her water tight. But I will be getting a new antenna mount and moving it and I will probalby silicone the hole in the hatch shut.

grk65 I have not tried my radio since I posted having problems. I will try again today and see if I can get good results.

Anybody else have a very tight (as in difficult to turn by hand) driveline on their SV27?

Mine is the same way. When I test ran it in the bath tub everything seemed OK. Slow through WOT. Of course, now the bathroom is clean.

My prop is also difficult to turn. I think it is the motor. It feels like the magnets are very strong and it doesn't want to move from the neutral position. It pops into the neitral positions when I turn it. It feels like my 55t lathe motor. I'm not worried about it yet. If my boat catches fire, I will worry.

I guess it is universal, my prop does not turn easily either. These motors must make the shaft very difficult to turn. Very impressive magnets!

I couldn't wait to run the boat, so I made my first voyage today. I started with twin 6 cell sticks - and the boat worked flawlessly. Terrific speed. So I thought I would try my twin 7 cell sticks. Speed was INCREDIBLE! I must have not judged the center of gravity correctly though - or even worse my battery sticks may have gotten loose (right in the middle of the lake) and I noticed the hatch flying off. A few seconds later, the boat took on water from the transom and it went under.

I did not notice the FOAM packed neatly in the bow before my little accident - - - if it wasn't for that foam, I would be without my newest toy!

All in all, WHAT A TOY!!!! I am very impressed.

Here is my first video. I think it is a tad slower than my Aquajet Extreme was right out of the box. But it handles great and looks GREAT, it deffinetly is a better hull and hardware. You can't beat this boat for the price. The first run was alot of fun. I will need to try some small upgrades. What should be the first easiest one to do. That I don't have to sharpen and balance a prop for.

Hmmm...it shouldn't be slower than your old AJE. Watching the video, your boat is also very loud like mine (though mine hasn't been in the water yet...only on the bench). It just doesn't sound right to me. In the video I also noticed it cavitates like a big dog prior to getting on plane. I wouldn't have expected that either.

How warm was the motor after that short run?
