This Stug was found in Russia. Demjansk is in Russia. Though it maybe have been found not in Demjansk area or somewhere else. Demjansk is a very popular name for foreigners, so to sell something expensive just add the label "Demjansk".

Ity is not the german quality, just the conditions under which the tank was preserved. If you put an item into a swamp or on the bottom of the river, the quality of the item will last for years. Just conditions...Nothing more...

Seems to be a recurring theme of tanks found in the mud...

Here we have a similarly preserved armored vehicle (will be pristine after cleaning) and one that was a German war trophy.

And updates about the tank's progress:

116 rounds found on board!

Oh, and for Stern: How about Russian quality.

what it is funny is that it have general motors(usa) electronics and injection syst.,
as for the mecanic it is italian parts (fiat).
it is a mix of russian-italian-usa parts ,a true international jeep

I could offer that russian a few thousand I bet he would sell it...but I'm sure it would cost more money to shipped it over here to the US then I would have the problem of getting it licesened and paqss inspection and I'm sure must carry some special permitt to drive on the streets ;-)

Man that would be fun to have your own tank to drive around!

cost 5000$canadian brand new compared to 10 000$can for the suzuki.
what is weird is a that they rust fast in the snow (made in russia snow) dooo..,
it is the weird porous primer (2mm. thick)
out of topic--the end

i would bet that t-34 corroded fast too
imagine my futur t-34 theme...

With the new "War Room" in place that would be the proper place for this thread. I'm moving it over there.
