Hey,

Ive heard a few rumours that Hitec are bringing out a new flagship radio to replace the Eclipse as top dog....can you shed any light on this. I love my Eclipse7 but need a radio that supports dual elevator servos......

Cheers

Weedy

It's going to be at least a 9 channel, due sometime in the next 6+ months. No other details beyond that some on the Hitec forum have requested more memory and (from myself) the ability to copy settings through the buddy cord.

Weedy,

Your Eclipse 7 supports dual elevator servos. I was running two airplanes with dual elevator servos but now just one. Do a Pmix, Ch. 1 and Ch. 7, 100% mix. You have to have the sub-trims on those two channels the same else the halves won't work together.

Hey les

Thanks for your reply.I did try that, but the thing that worries me with that set up is that the in flight trim controll for elevator only moves one half of the elevator which would cause the aircraft to roll.

Cheers weedy

I think later versions of the E7 firmware include a taileron mix or something -- which can be used as a dual elevator setup (with linked trims). Do a search here on RCU, I"m sure I've seen it somewhere.

This function isn't in the older (non QPCM) firmware.

We're not releasing any info on the radio at this time.

I will say that it will not be 512.

Mike.

Sorry but prototypes are not available to anyone but Hitec's RnD department.
