its threadlock, but dont use it. its red grade which is wayyyyy to strong for rc, the other little red tube at the bottom is blue threadlock i believe . much better.

Correct answer.

I took my 8ight to the track this morning for the second time and had some issues. I was warned about th etunning on the Hyper .21 and I'm allready starting to see them. The engine is lacking some punch on the low end. I tried leaning th elow speed needle and the pitch sounds like its too lean and it kind of winds up after I let off the throttle...weird . I tried to take the head off to do some mild porting to see if I can get it to breath better, heated the head with a torch and still stripped 2 of the 4 screws .

The other issue was the pin in the front center CVD breaking and popping out even though I had teh CVD condoms on there .

REplaced that and my steering servo stripped after and end over end roll....SUX!

I have a Losi 8 RTR and was thinking about changing the clutch from the stock two shoe setup to an all aluminum four shoe setup. I want to know which clutch and spring setup you suggest, and how to install it. Thanks

I use the KingHeadz 7075 shoes with green and gold springs. For more snap, bump it up to gold and silver springs...

I like to use two Losi aluminum shoes with gold springs and two King Headz 7075 shoes with silver springs. Great engagement.

My bud bought the 8 buggy rtr last month and had nothing but problems with it. Had a problem with the spectrum radio the receiver shorted out, went threw three servos and one went as soon as he turn on the receiver. Leaking shocks and burnt up aluminum clutch with the clutch bell bearing blown out. I know the hobby store where he bought it from and he had it on the shelf since last summer. He is just so disgusted he wants to trade me a older savage and a old ofna gt. So what do you guys think a good trade. I told him I can fix the buggy for him but he is still new to the r/c world and I think he just does not want to have to maintain it so much.

Take the buggy. I have driven the 8 buggy for two racing seasons and it is great.
Like anything, if you take care of it and know what you are doing you will have great results.

Let us know how that new chassis work for you; I was thinking about buying one. Do you know if it helps with the throttle servo issue?

I have the TFT chassis and it makes a world of difference!!! Much more stable in the straights, seems to come off jumps smoother too. A very wise purchace for the extreme racer.

I use the Losi long wear alum. clutch shoes and silver springs, hits harder and lots of low end punch.
