hi all, am in process of blding and am looking for suggestions on what motor for a dyna-flite spit.....i have a ys-91 now and thinking maybe a 120 size? any1 have one of these discontinued spits? tia -Tinman-

My friend had one of those with an OS 120 Surpass in it and loved it!

ty razor, jerry....i'm thinkin the ys has enuf for this bird. i am going to not install retracts on this one. i am jus finishing a tf -razorback-
with all the goodies on it and glassed the whole thing. a saito 120 is in that. the 91 ys should pull the spit well...i hope ...any exp. suggestions would be appreciated.. -Tinman-

The big Dyna-Flite spit has a weak horizontal tail surface. If it is not too late sheet the stab with 1/16 balsa to give it some straingth. Other wise in a high speed dive you might loose it when you pull out of the dive.

I flew mine with a YS 120 - more power than needed. The only problem with this Spit - it doesn't want to land...
