Bonding with my new Triton charger is being a painful experience. After much experimentation, and help from several more knowlegeable users, I have managed to perform multiple discharge/charge cycles on my Tx 8 cell pack. At least I think I have done it. The latest difficulty is in trying to recall the performance data on each of those cycles. I have tried following the manuals directions to press menu and batt type buttons simultaneously, or alternatively, just one by itself, and I am still unable to scan through and see what the charger really did on my pack. Does all cycle performance data become lost when the cycled battery is removed? The manual doesn't offer any detail as to how to do this. It seems to sort of point you in a direction, but without sufficient detail to sort things out when it fails to do what you expect. I sure wish Red would come up with a real manual for this thing.
A quick guess is that you could get $10.00 a copy if it does the trick. I know I'd be happy to spring for it if it would allow me to short circuit this long, do-it-yourself, "by guess and by golly", learning curve. I have no idea what the extent of the demand will be, but I'll bet you could move a bunch of them in the classifieds sections of RCU, and of course ebay. Great planes may want to buy it from you, and/or subsidize your efforts in its production. I'm feeling pretty sure that the Triton is a nice little device, but digital things are not intuitive, and so therefore, you get all kinds of questions on it......questions that could be addressed in a proper manual. Oh well...thats just my opinion.
