Blake, I used a Dubro large semi- scale unit Tower Hobbies #LXRWWG and it works great. You do have to cut an access panel in the tail and build a mounting plate to accomplish this. I'm out of town this week but I`ll post pictures of it when I return. Thanks for the rocket order by the way, and stand by for the cannon kit.
Pitts, paypal sent. Great work, appreciate your efforts & time.
Here is the Evolution 35GT2, initial setup. (made by mvvs for Horizon) Servo operated choke done, working on the throttle(not shown). It has about 2mm of clearance on the carb corners. Had to sit at a slight angle to clear the cowl front.
Muffler is a pain. I had to order a standard muffler from Pe Reivers Pe Horizon does not stock, and MVVS has discontinued. He has a few left. ( mvvs# 3298/35 )
I'll be modifing the wrap around (or having a custom-made) 35GT2 Wrap Around, after the money tree grows back a little bit...... The inverted (bison) is too thick to clear the cowl side.
I'll be changing the mount to a radial later on. The nylon mount is ok, strong enough, but tends to distort slightly when the bolts are torqued down & throws the spinner/cowl alignment out a hair. grrrrrr
It'll need some ducting to direct the flow up and around the head, otherwise it will just pass through, and miss the head...
Going to try a Xoar 18x8x3, see how that works...it'll be awhile yet
The ignition is placed behind the firewall, bolted in place between the wing studs. Same idea as Warbirdman, open up the bottom behind firewall. ( Tks W ! ) see page 15 for his pics.
***New *** the radial mount from mvvs or evolution is 19mm. There is 20-22 mm clearance on the 35GT2, should work nicely. With out any trimming to the cowl or any spacers behind the mount, a 1-2mm gap on spinner/cowl. I don't think there would enough to rubber mount it however.
ps- ...the glow tubing is just to keep crap out while its being worked on

Yup got mine also, they look great!! I got the rockets built and one of the rails done to see how it goes together.
Last Sunday I got to maiden my Typhoon. Dont worry about the weight. Mine with the Brillelli 26ssr flys it great. Half throttle is fast got it to full a couple times. It's awesome !!
Landing, it slows down very nicely, even without flaps. My motor was running a little rich on the lowend so I didnt use flaps I didnt slow it up that much just to avoid a dead stick on idle. The only problem was with my retracts. They went up fine and came down, but they didnt lock down. So as soon as it touched down the gear folded, and it slid on its belly for a few feet on the grass runway. No damage at all. I did notice that one of the bolts that holds the retracts together came out and the one gear just about came apart. So make sure you lock tight these.
Im ordering the Sierra Typhoon retracts tonight or tomarrow. Their very sweet for 300 bucks! They are made for the KMP Typhoon. I believe Pitts3s is using them on his Typhoon also. They make a nice set of scale Typhoon wheels also. But their a little steep in price. I may just wait for them for now.

I recieved mine too, and all the praise I was ready to give... well it has already been said. So, DITTO. THANK YOU, now I need the cannons and antenna and cockpit and ??? Oh yeah, I need a scale exhaust for the Saito FG-36? Any leads on this?
Sailor back at shore. Still waiting for a reply from Eurolight. That YT-guy promised me a set of wing spars. They never came. So I paid of my days far away from home. To buy an incomplete set... Anybody out there that can tell me. What is the material for the Main Wing Spars? If You have just bought the set. Do me an outline of those and mail it to me.
Seen the pics. Guys I love and envy Your results. My plan has no guns, no rocketts, no bombs. No modifications.
I bought a Roto 25 gas engine for my Typhoon. I would either have to modify the damper or have to cut a hole in the cowl to make that engine fit. Besides it is a 2-stroke.
That will not do. A big cowl and plenty room for the cylinder.
I was supposed to start building last fall. It is still in the box. But I found me a fitting engine. The Saito FG-36 four stroke gas. You can view my engine at: YouTube Saito FG-36 OEMF Best regards Mikael

I like the Saito gasser too. Will it fit lengthwise? It looks pretty long. I wouldn't want a big spinner gap. Its nice and heavy! I'm going to go with bombs not rockets and want cannons as soon as someone starts selling them. All the Tiffs you guys are making are sure lookin good!

Hey Guys, Here's a video of my Typhoons maiden flight. I need to get use to a Warbird. After flying 3D IMAC planes its a little different. THe take off was ok and the landing, the gear never locked down. .If you guys want some nice retracts I suggest the Sierra Precision ones. Mine should be here in early next week..
