As far as the exhaust goes: I beat and crimped the end of the supplied exhaust, a little paint and your done. Don`t be afraid to try it, I carved a pieced of hard wood as a mold for the tips and they all came out even.

good luck with the rockets guys, the cannon are coming!

Glad it turned out as well as it did! Did you bail the pilot, or did he ride it in :-)

Ahhaa, never thought of it that way, make a mold and form stock pipes around it,
Here I was crimping and banging away, no two the same...D'ooohhhhh

They look great Pitts,
I also thought maybe they where the new Ziroli exhaust seen recently.
Should have guessed you made them, going by everything else you've done!

Cannon: Finger hovering over the send funds button, scream when ready.

*Sorry to see it didn't work out fully with YT, hope that doesn't hinder any future endeavours.
I'm fairly sure I can speak for everyone in saying: Thanks, we appreciate your work, very much.

Glenn

I got me a pair of Main Wing Spars.
Had a Typhoon shipped from germany to denmark last summer. Eurolight has never replied to my request for the missing parts. They will not receive any further orders from me.
Thank You, thank You, thank You alanc from YT. Now I can finally start building my Typhoon.
I´ll try to remember to take pictures when I start cutting up the fuselage to move the firewall back to accommodate the Saito FG-36.
That´s service.
Thank You alanc and YT. I got me my dreammachine and just the right engine to hide under the cowl.
Thank You

Mikael, how far will you have to move the firewall to accommodate the FG-36? I am ready to get started on mine and plan on ordering the FG-36 soon.

That is one fine looking engine!

Thinking out loud here:

Have you thought about just extending the cowl forward 30mm?
Add extension to the rear of cowl. That shouldn't throw the scale look off too much.

Would it be possible to have a spinner made with an skirt that extends backwards,
beyond the back plate to hide the gap between ? That would leave the cowl/firewall as is.

Leave the existing firewall in place, but remove the centre portion to clear the engine/mount and make a
new fire wall behind.
Or maybe you could make a aluminum bracket, that bolts up to the rear of the existing firewall.

Hello Greg,
I order them over the phone, and had them in about 1 week. I know he had mine in stock.Maybe he has to make them,or waiting for a big enough order to make them?

I would guess its best to call and talk to him over the phone.. They are very nice and worth the wait. While your waiting, build up the Retract mounts up 1/2" to accomidate(SP?) the new gear..

Cya,
Frank

I have seen a couple of mentions about trouble with YT on here, this, i am sure, is concerning the rocket kits we wanted to stock, let me explain why we could not do this, we have import tax, and VAT, as we are a business, we cannot try to dodge this, it amounts to 31.5% on the cost of any import, to make a profitt, we would have to offer them at a CONSIDERABLE mark up, this would not be fair to buyers, so, the next best thing,
When one of these models is sold, or ANY of the models that future products will fit, we will iclude a slip telling the buyer where and how they can get the scale accessories,

have a GREAT season,
ALAN YT international

Hi Alan, and everyone reading this thread.

I think using the word trouble was not the correct word for me to use.
I didn't mean to imply or suggest there was "trouble".

Maybe it should have been stated:
Sorry to hear that it didn't work out between YT and a possible supplier.

A lot of folks probably realize the problems and costs that can hinder a good idea.

I do apologize if for any negative feelings and/or implications it may have brought up.
It was never intended that way, to be sure.

Glenn
