Thinking about getting another q40 quickie engine. Why should I buy the BSE over the Standard one. What kind of performance improvement will I get with the more expensive BSE engine?

Performance wise the BSE and cast case engines are pretty much the same. Internally they are for the most part identical (Same piston/sleeve/head).

Comes down to a preference and apperance.

Some folks have more recently been requesting the Q-500 and QM40 engines as cast-case, and upgrading that in combination with the BSE racing muffler as an option.
