IMO both systems work the same for RC's. Stating those stats is fine but its like having 1 car that does 300mph and another that does 600mph, were only going to use maybe 50% of the 300mph car's capability anyways so the second car only has bragging rights.

You are correct, I was going by the description on Tower. Thanks, I was about to purchase this. I think I will just wait on the React now.

No prob, and glad to get it all sorted out one way or the other. For what it's worth, the 3PM-FS is a nice radio and I'm not sorry I got it (I don't race, just bash). However, if I had known that the React was on its way, and if I hadn't broken my other radio(s), I probably would have waited for it.

Well, couldn't stand it, went ahead and ordered the React today. It's on backorder, but should be in next week.

So what is the difference in the range provided by the FASST or the Spektrum System .. I read that the FASST system has a range of 80 meters or 250 feet. That sucks compared to the Spektrum system

I know I will get flamed but if you really think your going to get 3000' out of a spek surface radio I have some swamp land for you.

I agree with you on the 3000 ft mark.

But 250 feet is pretty crappy. If that is true, I am not going to switch.... I am running Spektrum Pro which works fine. I just figured since Futaba made this system for the 3pk it should be good to go. But a range of 80m or 250 feet sucks.

First off 250' is not crappy range IFMAR rules 135' is the farthest distance from the drivers stand a track can go to MOST tracks are well UNDER even that.

Second the Futaba tests out at further "real" range then the spek pro.
Futaba quotes the range with ONLY the "Internal antenna" or the shortest working range of the system.
MOST people will use both antennas which brings the Futaba system to arse kicking range.

Third it is not only the range it is the speed of the system 75Hz rather then 50Hz

Fourth it is also about RF link quality FHDSS is MUCH more ROBUST then DSSS

Nomadio_Sales.,,,

You and I are talking and truggyracers.com. to all I am not bashing the futaba system.... I have already bought it and should have on tueday. Just after I made the order, I saw the range listed a 80 feet. Just concerned me thats all. I also posted on truggyrcers that the range listed at 80 ft was just for the internal antenna at least that is work I have assumed after looking at everything on the net.

LOL so many forums! Post your range tests of your FASST system and your Spek Pro here as well.

Like i said on the other forum its is good you OWN both so you can report no spin, no hype what you see.

When you do your range tests also test with another R/C car or something that size just in the line of sight near the test car with both systems. Report the range drop if any from both systems.

Drops from 100mW to 10mW as if you are ever going to flip that switch
