I am just starting in electric park flyer's and am looking for a charger to do the following.
Charge my (NiMH) for electric park flyer's.
Cycle and charge my batteries in my glo planes tx and rx (Nicad)
Be Able to charge my future Li-po stuff.

I am considering:

Duratrax ice
triton jr
hobbico elite
Hyperion

Please give me advice before i pull the trigger on the ice
Thanks!

Hi, welcome to rcu. You have a good selection. The Ice is geared for large packs (but will do tiny ones too) The only limitation is the 20 volt output limits to 11 nickel cells and 4S lipo. It will do a great job.

Hobbico elite is also very nice , dual, and geared more to smaller packs like you describe, also has a 10 cell limit. (maybe a 3S lipo limit) It's limitation is it's included power supply, but is great for up to 2 amps each side with a different 12 volt source.

The Triton JR is a lower class, without the adjustability of the others, but I do not have one and is in a class of 14 cell x 5 amp chargers with a lot of competition.

Hyperion , no opinion, and throw the Triton or Triton 2 into the mix too.
