Just an FYI for you Monster Truckers.

We carry the STS line of Engines including the D30M w/5 ports. We work directly with STS and we will carry spare parts
to support the product (Currently updating our website). TopSpeedToys is very active in the Redcat Racing 1/10 forums
and have established a good reputation for customer service.

We've been running a free shipping promo/special for RCU members all month.
You can take advantage and use coupon code FREE4RCU at checkout.

We look forward to being more active in the HPI / Monster Truck forums and we invite you all to visit our site.

I personally will be buying a new Savage this weekend. I see there is a new SS model out???
I would appreciate if someone could make a recommendation on what model is best.

Thank you,

Mark

Hey Mark, Thanks for the heads up...

Yes the Savage X SS is the latest of the line...

I would like to see you guys put one together with oneof the STS 30 in there... the newly designed drive train should be able to handle it.

BTW, whatz your website link??

Hey Bam,

here's a link for the engines: http://www.topspeedtoys.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=23_27

and this is a link to the manufacturer: http://www.stsrc.com.tw/

We will definitely install the D30M and try to break something

Mark

The 30 is supposed to be an improvement on the .28
I've read a few mixed reviews on the D30M, I wonder how many people here have one??

Mark, in your opinion, what do you think the difference from th 28 and 30 other an the porting and cubic size?

I figure the .30 has a lower top rpm than the .28. With all the torque the .28 provides I would not be willing to sacrifice the top end for even more bottom end.

Physically they are identical and I personally have not run both of them. I would say with 5 ports on the 30 it should
outperform the 28 (3 port) in top end and should have enough grunt on the low end.

Would anybody agree?

I didn't say it was a bad thing though

I do like the smell of NITRO in the morning.

that's not what she said

So, seriously...about that D28M and D30M...

BTW, I think the port revisions to the .30 were to help make up for the lack of topend power that a .30 will typically have compared to a .28. like I said, i'd be more than happy to confirm

does anyone have both....... if the .30 has more topend than the .28 im afraid the .28 would be a big dissapointment..... I have the .30 in a buggy and it just doesn't have the RPM And speed...... low rpm grunt is great, but top end has some to be
