No, you don't have to be in Heli mode.
I use both Futaba 9C and JR 9303/12X radios and they all offer throttle curve mixing in the airplane mode.
Originally, it was used for "in-flight mixing", but now it has many other possibilities - including matching RPM over the entire range.

They are non standard I am afraid. Alan from Y.T International (KMP Uk importer) made them for me. He also made me one for my Y.T Bearcat. They are superb.

Status: offline 		I had a stearman (just the airframe ) shipped from Florida to me in Dekalb IL area. The seller took it to the UPS store and they packed and shipped the cost was 195.00 plus insurance the packaging was very good no damage.

Status: offline 		You could make a crate out of 1/8" Luan ply and re-inforce the edges with 1X2 pine strips and ship it Greyhound since it is less than 96" long.
Probably cost around $95.00 anywhere in the US..... I've done several birds this way and it seems to work out fine.
If you could find a place that ships a lot of big parts you might ask them to poly-foam the contents in place once you get everything in the crate. I did this with a 35% Yak and it was perfect.
Shame to hear your selling the 'Cat!

Well I flew the T-Cat this weekend, awesome, solid, fast, I love this aircraft. The Saito 125 runs great, they have a low tone and sound like 12 cylinder Merlin on the flyby. Landings are my favorites, the T-Cat lands better than my P-51. After watching some of the posted videos I decided to set up my approach like a heavy twin on an ILS approach, full flaps with power (1/4-1/3) throttle to control rate or sink, reducing the throttle to idle at touchdown. The gear doors create a lot of drag so it takes a bit of power on final; touchdown is very soft with the nose gear about an inch above the runway. I think these Saito 125 can take Richard. Unlimited vertical. I am happy with my T-Cat, it hauls ass! Thanks for all the help guys. Photos to come.

I did read almost all 49 pages of this topic since i'm about to receive and build my cat ;-)

But i still did not order engines. And i'm about to order saito 100T (twin cyl) do you think it will be abouth power?

For size i checked and it should be ok for weight it looks ok too for balance and CG it looks cool but for power i dont know

Any idea?

Status: offline 		Hi T-Cat Builders - Finally got my Sierra retracts functioning correctly. I kept loosing air pressure thru the cylinders. I have 3 new cylinders sent to me by Darrel (Sierra Retracts). The new cylinders hold 100 PSI for a minimum of 6 hours. I flew my T-Cat today with my new Fuji - 24 engines. If you all remember months ago I flew my T-Cat with 2 RCV 91 engines. Very scary flight. Just enough power to get airborne and circle immediately back to a landing. Todays flight was another "Learning Process". I have my Fuji engines tacking 8400 RPM with 18x8 APC props and 2400 RPM at idle. Takeoff was just like it should be, a few hundred feet of takeoff roll and nice climb out. As I turned 180 degrees and started to do some trimming, both engines stopped as if I had pulled the throttles back. I had plenty of speed and immediately turned back to the runway. The T-Cat glides better than I thought a 30 pound airplane would do. I made a smooth landing and rolled right back to me. In fact I had to use a little braking to have it stop at my feet. Now why did the engines STOP. First thing I did was to start the engines and see if they would run. They started right up and ran flawlessly. The fact that they both stopped exactly at the same time leads me to believe the added 90 degree intake pipes I put on the carbs was the cause to the engine stopping. I am assuming that to much air was induced into the carbs as I picked up speed and this killed the engines. I have taken them off and will re-work the cowls so the carbs are inside the cowls. I'll keep you all posted as I venture forward.

from what i could read (did not receive my kit yet) its 21cm or maybe you dont talk about the cowl but the wood in the back and that i dont know

Status: offline 		Good Work Col! Glad you got down safely. Had mine out Sat for it's first run ups and electrical checks. Also cycled the gear amny times and check for air leaks. Lost 1 lb in 45 minutes, I think that will work. Next week end will hopefully be it's first flight, weather being so good here in Arizona this time of the year.

Status: offline 		Ibelieve firewall diameter (the flat area is 113 mm or 4.454 inches. I used Evolution 26 engines with their radial mount and had plenty of flat area.
