Default KMP F-7F Tigercat

Has anyone had experience yet with the KMP F-7F Tigercat ? It's a nice looking bird ,just would be better at about 100 inches. Thanks, Wayne

Christmas is getting closer and so is the launch date of the new ESM Tiger Cat. If you need any info on it now is the time to ask, but before you get carried away two questions I can not give answers to. 1. How much? (dont know) 2. When will is be available? (all being well before the end of the year in the UK, but dont quote me, things may change).
I have a video of the PROTOTYPE (some may have seen it if you been on the YT stand at some of the shows), this I will upload in the next couple of days. The plane in the video is the PROTOTYPE in the true sense of the the word. The production model is composite, the PROTOTYPE is glass fuselage and built up wing. This model was built to prove the design, above all flies and I can confirm it is a joy to fly.

The link below is for the video, please please bear in mind this is the prototype with no markings, different construction and the incorrect under carriage. The plane was built to prove the design so no comments please this is wrong thats not right. The production one will be the two seat version, mine is the single seat version with a 88" span, weight 22lb powered by two RCV91CD's

Two Zenoha 20's would disappear in the cowls, I am sure your distributor would put your name on their list if you made contact

I thought the video was excellent. Thanks for posting, no comments here other than where do I place the order. Fantastic, in my opinion. Can't wait to get delivery.

JUST FYI... THE KMP F7F Tigercat should be instock around March....
A Zenoah G-26 looks like it may stick out a bit much... may want to use something like the G20ei or a BCMA 26, EVO 26 etc.... If you are going gas....
The RCV91-CD and RCV130-CD 4 stroke engines will fit really well!!!!!! (in cowl)...
Good news is that it will come with the really nice scale-type oleo struts (see picture below)

I don't have any material available as of this time other than the anticipated pricing of $899 with retracts, OLEO STRUTS, ALUMINUM WHEELS
for fixed gear -$200 ( don't know how available this option will be in the 1st run of F7Fs)

More to come.... I will try to get the size of the cowlings for you all...

Cheers!

WOW! This airplane looks GREAT. I was planning to do the TF Cessna 310 as my first scale twin - but this one might be worth further wait. The weight looks good, the wing is HUGE and I can fit gassers in it

Decisions, decisions. I hope it really is available in March. Any later than that and there would not be enough time to build it for the summer fun flys or scale contests...

Just finished my kmp B25 and just put a deposit down on the F7F I decided to order through VQ its our U.S dealer in TX very nice person to talk with outstanding customer service anyone thinking of ordering should give VQ a call . VQ told me that they can set us up with the whole package engines, servos, extensions etc of your choice. May save a few dollars.
I am going with G20's and twin sync they sound great and have the power to back it up.

Dont know if everyone knows but VQ also has new 1/9th pilots coming out soon.

I have 2 of the G20's on a 32lbs. KMP OV-10. They are great running motors right out of the box. You really don't need the twin sync. Mine matched perfect without touching the needles on the carb at all.....

Hi Tomas, I have a question for you since you are a KMP dealer what is up with the lack of Customer service when you call KMP in canada all they tell you is yes that parts are availabe but you have to email the Andrew of kmp. But he dont respond to email or return phone calls, I been looking to get the canopy for the cockpit on my B25 for a month now and been getting no where im to a point where im sorry I forked out 600 bucks for the b25, if this is the type of service they give this will be my last KMP kit.

I know Andrew Kondor and his team Do try to do the best for their customers.... But thanks for the input on your personal experience... I know it is the exception and not the rule..I know they want you to be happy...

My personal goal is to provide for KMP Customers what I have been providing for all MY VQ WARBIRD Customers since March 2006..... CUSTOMER SERVICE and fast response times.....

Let me know what parts you need and I will serve you... SImple as that!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a customer just like everyone else.... but first I am an AVID R/C MODELER ...well really just a HUGE "WARBIRD NUT" [sm=bananahead.gif] .... I JUST KNOW that if I go somewhere and I don't get service... I won't spend any more time or $$ there... SO I HOLD SERVICE AS A HIGH PRIORITY.... I treat everyone the same way I want to be treated!! .... I know you WILL LOVE MY personal service and fast responses....

Just ask any of my VQ WARBIRD CUSTOMERS.... and just FYI... I can put a custom order together for anyone [sm=thumbup.gif]which includes, ROBART RETRACTS and ACCESSORIES, HITEC FLIGHT PACK(s), RCV ENGINES, SHINDIN RETRACTS and more.... Just email me with your REQUESTS.. I don't have all the items on the website yet..

SO... Just email me with your needs and I will do what needs to be done.. Plain and simple... IF anyone is coming to TEXAS for the ANNUAL BOMBER FIELD B-17 Gathering and BIG BIRD FLYIN which is the 3rd weekend in SEPT.... Let me know... I will have the VQ WARBIRD/KMP/RCV ENGINE TENT there.... I WILL BE FLYING and also PROMOTING the lineup!!!!!! HOPEFULLY WE CAN GET A BUNCH OF VQ and KMP WARBIRDS UP TOGETHER!!!!!!!!!!! here is the link.... www.bomberfieldusa.com
