Charles, the gear doors baffle us all. The nose door on our airplane is the correct length. As I mentioned in a previous post, the torque link from the strut to the door broke while I was trying to test fit it, so I'm not sure if it will stand up to flight or landing loads. Also, the manual has you install the aluminum slide rails on a piece of plywood, then glue that to the door. The problem being that the door is curved and the plywood is not, which doesn't leave a lot of glueing surface.

We had a chance to look a full scale F7F in the Naval Air Museum a few weeks ago. The door attached to the nose strut covers about 2/3 of the wheel well opening. The remaining third is covered by two small doors split down the centerline. Might be easier to make that work than play with the kit setup.

We've figured out how to hinge the main gear doors, but haven't yet come up with a simple way to actuate them. I suspect our first flights will be without gear doors also......

to all the T-Cat brothers out there. We all seem to be struggling with the same inssues. It would be great if we could colloborate and put together a manual that makes sense, show how to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear and can be followed.

Might not help too much, but int he TF 310 thread that used sonictronic's springdown hinges and used a piece of elastic cord to actuate the doors. So when the gear retracts the strut pulls the doors closed and the elastic tension holds them tight.

Can anyone give me the size of the wooden blocks for the control surfaces that came with the kit ? My blocks did not come with the plane along with a few other items.

If you are gertting to the browse that is good. What you need to do now is get to the folder you have your pictures in. You can do that by going to the 'look in" area of the browse window. There is a text field there with a down arrow at teh right hand side. Click on that and it will open a navigation window. It will show the directory structure of your computer. All you have to form there is look for the folder you have your pictures in and then select it.

Then you can attached the pictures one by one in the browse window.

To Chasman. I think I have to shrink my photos by 50% to be able to send them.
