This should be fun! Might have to live off Ramen noodles and toast for the next month but I think it's worth it .

Work's terrible. Need any help at S-F? Just picked her up today from Elton Fairless. I have everything needed to get it going, except for the receiver batteries. Now I just need to decide between nimhs ($$) or Fromecos ($$$). Hopefully I'll have it going in the next couple weeks. My 5x10 trailer just got a whole lot smaller versus using my Comp-ARF 2.6.

I've been doing some RC flying, though in the summer here for me it's a little hot to spend the entire day at the field. Fortunately it's cooling off now . The nearest field suitable for large aerobats is a little bit of a drive for me so I've been doing a lot of helis and foamy flying. Now that I have this bird though, I'll be heading out to the larger field more. I flew a Carden for the first time a couple months ago (back to back with a Comp-ARF 3.0) and immediately knew I wanted one, so I'm really looking forward to getting this one in the air! I just need to install my receivers and batteries, and set the matchboxes up, and it'll be ready to fly. I saw this plane fly last weekend at the RDRC fly-in, so I know it flies well.

Glad to see your at least keeping your hands on the transmitter.
Ever get close to here on an overnight?

I just started flying my new Carden 260. I frikin love it.
I am also going to have one of the new Carden 300 Prototypes built for me by the same guy who did my 260.
AMAZING builder.

The 260 looks great! I liked that scheme on your Radiocraft as well. Most of the overnights for the Greensboro pilots are on the coast, lots of Boston, New York, Jacksonville, Richmond, Atlanta, etc. Not a lot of variety of overnights compared with the Cinci trips. Oh well. The new 300 should be an interesting addition; I'm looking forward to see how those fly. Unfortunately I can only afford one 40%er until I either upgrade or get a better job . As it is, I'm going to sell my 2.6 to help pay for this one. Hoping to get plenty of flying with the Carden before it gets cold here; when that happens I'll start working on fixing some minor cosmetic issues with it. Even with the minor cosmetic issues it should fly great.

Patience young Skywalker .

Albert, yes that is the plane that Elton flew at the XFC. I believe it was also flown at the Don Lowe Masters. It still has a couple decals from those events. I might try and fool people by telling them I was there, but when they see me fly they'll know there's no way that could actually happen .

Today we set up the radio and started the engine. I had to install four matchboxes and get all the servos working together, but once we figured out a system for it, it went by very quickly. I'm going to order the batteries tomorrow and will hopefully be flying this weekend. Crossing my fingers for a successful re-maiden!
