If you are going to buy the Hellfire, go for the SS kit. The kit comes with most of the upgrade parts HPI makes for the truck. As for whether the truck is the best, no one could really say. Don't think many truggy racers race dirt oval.

Hi eldo!

the hellfire is a speedy car i have driven one once or twice latley! Like Battle Axe said, go for the SS kit if you do decide to buy it because youdo get more choise for hop ups! It is also quite a reliable truck to race, and will not need constant part replacing like some models!

if you have experience get the rtr, after you put in your engine and servos it will be about 800.00 to 900.00 bucks so you do the math

Unless you are somewhat experienced and don't mind close to 40 hours assembly time, get the RTR. As has been stated, Truggies do not usually run ovals. Some tracks may allow it for fun, but generally Truggies damage a track too much when a bunch of them seriously race.

the rtr comes with the 4.6 high rev motor... its good enough to race with.. the only way up would be an o.s 30.... to be honest the rtr has enough power and if you want to upgrade you can as you wish, while racing,,, the hell fire will not let you down..

It all depends if money is an option or not, personally i would buy the SS because building them can be as fun as racing them. I also like the freedom of engine and radio choice so you don't get stuck with a cheap radio.

well thank you for your advice, for now i think i'll stay with my savage and upgrade it a lot ,i love my savage ,next summer ill buy maybe the hellfire ,cause my neighbor bought the hellfire rtr and its always broken ,the diff's ,i dont know but he as to put spacers but still its not perfect ,and the engine is harder to tune then my savage maybe cause im not really experienced.and around here they have a league and they,re like 20 cars racing ,all hellfirer's and its on oval track's that's what my neighbor told me .me i dont know i never went to the race track ,i live in the country ,horses cow ... you know ,and me well in the back of my house there 's i big field (farmer'S) and well i make my course ,jumps a lot of jumps ,and the savage well is strong and can take a beating ,and its fun ,but race oval track maybe next year, for now the winter is coming ,snow a lot of snow and the savage will rise and take on mother nature and the snow ,i took it out yesterday in the snow and it was awesome, anyways thank you very much for your answers, i will come back and talk with you guys ,people from us ,australia etc...so cool .see ya later

Hi ,well im with you for the mt2 i love how it looks its superb ,but i wanted to buy one and the owner of the store told me that it breaks a lot ,and the cause is only a matter of scales the mt2 is 1/10 i think ,correct me if i'm wrong ,he told me that i have to go 1/8 or bigger ,he told me that the bigger, the stronger they are ,now i want a savage replica 1/5 ,but i cant find any ,so next year i think im gonna built one if i can find servos powerfull enough,im an electromechanic building is no problem but finding the servos are ,cause im no expert on that (rc),i want to built a grave digger for next summer at least a real 1/5 or 1/3 its easy to built but i need the servos, so if one of you guys know anything about servo's well speak up please i need tips on servos id like to do little shows with the truck anyway's i'll stop my bla bla and come back with the mt2 if you tell me that it's solid and good well i'll buy one next summer because i love it's style ,looks very nice, anyways dont be shy to answer thank you and have a nice day tc
