A Starfighter will be fast no matter how you build and power it...:p
The real thing was an engine with wings...lol... god, I love the looks of that plane... And the noise it made...still sends shivers down my spine just thinking about it... awesome...

you got that about right ... that's why I go for the propjets ... there are really not all that many kits around for propjets....
Just about everyone has probably tried one of the Great Planes offerings etc... I would love to have gotten one of their F-4 Phantoms ... but I understand that these or no-longer being kitted ... for some reason or another?
I have'nt tried a pusher as yet..... But I have a pusher F-104 on the drawing board ...
I like the aircraft and there are plenty of posts around say they fly very well despite the small wing area...

Dave,
I guy at my local field had an unfortunate mishap with his ARF JHH Hawk. I got the remains and am planning on rebuilding it as a pusher. Actually, I'm reglassing the nose tonight, then I can start rebuilding the wing. The short moment of the Hawk's fuselage is a concern, but I hope it works out. My next project will probably be G&P's F/A-18 or a CBM F-16N. If the Hawk works out I'll post a pic of the plane.
Look back at the beginning of this thread guys.... the person who originally started this thread added to his profile that he "no longer visits RCU"...
So I guess we are never going o see that pusher prop jet design...

Hi,
Just wanted to say thanks to the person who suggested the Sea Vixon. I's never heard of this plane before was interested in it when I saw the picture that was posted.
This last weekend there was a air show here on the Isle of Man and one of the plane that was displaying was a Sea Vixon. Now that I've seen this beautiful plane flying (In Red Bull colours) I'm a big fan.
Anyway I just wanted to say thank you for showing me a beautiful plane.

Hi everybody,
(I started this thread.)
After a lot of research, and a lot of input from many of you, I've decided on something kind of "in the middle", design-wise. What I'll be making this winter is a non-scale pusher jet, but with a "scale-like" look. It's designed for a .60 2-stroke, and will be ready for test flights in spring of 2004. I've already done the CAD, and am working on the drawings for the plugs now. Updates on this project, if you want to follow along, are at http://www.nextcraft.com/j47_sportjet01.html
Here are a few images of the exterior, which is now "frozen". This is not a commercial venture, but if any of you are interested, after we see the flight results, I will try and make a few "short kits" available. (molded fuselage with sheeted foam wings)

Tutor, here's mine and it would be nice if I didn't have to build it!! Not a speed demon but very aerobatic and easy to fly thats some thing to consider no fun having a plane that you can not enjoy [image][/image]4guys here are building and we fly airshow routines so that should count as 4 right. hahaha any way what ever you decide make it flyable, reliable, maintanable and it will sell. The OOOOO factor wears thin after the crash!!! no matter haw good looking it WAS
