I have been practicing my Sim diligently, and have installed the super skids. Looks sharp. I plan on flying with the stock battery and charger for a while, and if I feel like I will keep this "trainer" heli very long, I plan on getting some 7.4 Lipos and a charger for it. I have also been reading the very long thread on the Walkera #4, since it is basically identical to the Falcon 40. Several people there have mentioned clipping the main rotor blades by about 2cm on each side, to increase spool up and head speed. Has anyone tried it with the Falcon?

Hey guys , I finally got my parts in and fixed my heli. After my last lil run in with the wall , my wife has banished me to the upstairs game room. Its got more room , plus a tv , stereo , pool table , bar < i`ll try to stay from that> Before , I`ve been just floor scootin around the floor but , now when I spool up it goes straight up and "slides" straight and level to the left.Is this a COG type problem?I cant quite seem to trim it out. And has anyone tried moving the servo links in , supposed to make it less "touchy". Thanks for the help !

Tip of the day: Never grab a 9,100 volt electric fence wire with a pair of pliers , even though they are "insulated" !

I would make sure to check your swashplate. Make sure its perfectly horizontal. Also, check you flybar, and also make sure those are parallel to the rotor plate.

Oh, and how high are you getting off the ground?? Make sure to get at least 3 feet up to avoid ground affect. Hope this helps

Yes, I tried it and it made no noticeable flying difference. If you look at the swashplate you'll notice an extra set of unused/vacant "Ball" type connectors that are 90 degrees away from the connectors going to the servo arms. Look real close and the balls are a little bit closer to the main rotor shaft axis. Shorter moment should limit deflection at the swash, but its not a drastic difference to me.

bad news guys
i was flying my falcon 40 and after landing my dog just jumped to it lol and its a mess
main rotor, blade holder, flybar, paddles, skids (super skids arent here yet), canopy,..........
its looks like a train wreck, after i calculate how much it will take to fix it i will decide either buy the
spare parts or a brand new heli

hey, i got the receiver back today and i tried it out..........Same problem the main rotor wouldnt work on that channel so i plugged in the tail rotor channel and it worked. So i looked at the receiver and the yellow wire came off of its soldering joint, so i played around and found the joint where it broke. I held it on the joint where it broke and it worked awesome, also fixed the twitchy action with the rerouting of the antenna. Iam going to re-solder the connection. Once again thanks a ton Awesome job.

I know this is the forum for the Falcon 40 Mini Heli, but wondered if you could recommend the next level in mini heli's. I'm fairly new to helis, and know the Falcon is a great trainer. However what would be the next step in quality and performance? I don't have the $$ to jump into an $800 bird, but wanted to know what is recommend as the next step in maybe a 3D model?

Rick, I'm so glad you were able to resolve that. I was a bit worried about shipping it back in such a tight fitting box, but was out of time and wanted you to get it ASAP. It did get to you in two days though, thats pretty quick.

Hey you know what? I insured it for 50 bucks, still have the receipt too. I wonder.....Hmmmmm....

Well, as of now, you are an Expert Electronic Technician in my opinion.

If that new transistor smokes, it cuz' you're flying with a 100 AMP DC power supply onboard your tiny Falcon 40!! Good luck taking off !!

Glad to help out a fellow pilot anytime...

Do hope to hear good things about your flying here sometime... Robo
