Status: offline 		HeloJerry, it's not too late. You can buy another Falcon that way you have 2 to fly and 1/2 for spare. If something goes wrong you can swap the component and fix it instantly without buying wrong parts. Also you have 2 for comparison during fine tunnings, adjustments. Finally with 2, you will never have to wait for parts. When I buy a model, my rule is to have a minimum of 2 otherwise I just wait until I have enough money or buy something cheaper. I am not electronically inclined but over the years having at least 2 of everything really helped me learned a lot. My 2 cent rule, 2 kids, 2 brothers, 2 jobs, 2 of each heli (I am not kidding), 2 wives (am I kidding?), cost me 2 times more, should you 2? Hehe.

I'm using the Tower Pro's which are almost a direct replacement. You'll still need to trim back the little tab on the top of the frame to accomodate where the wires come out, and you'll have to shave 1/16" off of the mounting flange of the servo. Then they will snap right in. At only $7.00 each these are a great deal.

I like the HS-55's too, but these will have to be taped or strapped in with a zip tie. Also twice as expensive as the Tower Pros.

Haven't tried the Futaba.

Status: offline 		Anyone know of a replacement canopy that is just a little wider than the stock one? The electronics for my 3-in-1 set-up run the wires out sideways and are a tight fit. Plus my original canopy is pretty much held together with duct tape, so probably time for a new one.

Status: offline 		Short Flight, Duct Tape!!! Gotta love it, ROFLMAO!!! 1002 uses for Duct tape - Canopy repair. I wonder if Delta has thought of that as a cost saving measure so they can afford more jet fuel?

Status: offline 		Broggyr, don't know if you have seen this: http://www.helihobby.com/html/separate_electronics.html . I haven't had a chance to really study it yet, but it talks about initializing the tail motor on a separate component setup. If I understand what the article is saying, this problem can be fixed with revo mix in a programmable radio or by using a mixing board or by using a HH gyro with a non-programmable radio. I might be misunderstanding the article electronics are not my strong suite. Just thought you might be interested.

Status: offline 		Yea, I saw that. That would require me to buy a 'real' heli radio. The one I got was designed for a Walkera CP heli, not sure which one, but the mixes are non-programmable...

Status: offline 		Broggyr, what about using the mixing board or using a HH gyro with a non-programmable radio? The reason I ask is because I am going to be in the same boat with a non-programmable radio (6 ch E-Sky) when I do my conversion.

Hadn't thought about it, but half a roll of duct tape probably cuts a few minutes off my flights.... actually just a few strips lining the inside to keep it in one piece. Too many incidents with the wood stove.

How about Billmay with all of those miles of beach and no bird. What kind of vacation is that?

Jerry I really like the Hi Tech HS-55's As Life posted you will have to use a tie to keep them in the mounts but the flanges are the right width just not thhick enough. i put mine on with 2 side tape and then zip tie them to the fram and rock solid. I have had several really bad crashes (including one today) and they have not yet stripped. Even if they do there is a gear set available so you can fix them. Good little servo. Faster than the stockers too.

So I got a chance today to try out some FFF in a large field with 2-5 mph winds. This was my first attempt at any FFF. I started with some slow back and forth and figure 8's and then just couldn't help myself. I hit the gas and was doing some large sweeping passes with stall turns. Man is this little bird fast! My heart was pumping and my hands sweating and the smile on my face was so big you'd have to chisle it off I even got brave at the end of he first pack and was pulling a piro at the top of my turns before coming back!! Flew through the first pack with only 1 close call. On a nose down pass I got so close to the ground when i pulled up I actually heard the tail rotor clip some grass Let the motors cool down and chucked in another pack. Got even more controlled passes and fast nose down flight. WhooHoo! was it fun. Did I say how fast the Falcon can be? Well got 3/4 through the pack and then disaster struck. I was coming in hot right in front of me with fast nose down flight and a small gust of wind hit sending the heli further nose down. I pulled back full but gravity won out this time. BAM Hit the ground full speed nose first The pull back full actuall saved a much worse crash as I hit probably 15 degrees instead of the 30 it was coming in at. Not a ton of damage but broke 1 blade, canopy, tail boom, and modified SS tail support. i'll post some pictures. The far back pictures show the new and improved curved tail boom. I can arrange to get all of you one if you wanna try em out
