Status: online 		Here's one for you fellas, I'm flying the Falcon along minding my own buisness, in a good stable 4 feet off the ground hover and all of a sudden I lost power to the main, did a nice piro and then it fell out of the air. I have been flying this 4-in-1 for a year and have never had a problem. I didn't hit anyhting or stall the blades so I didn't expect the mosfet to be bad. I removed the 4-in-1 anyway because I couldn't get power to the main, opened it up expecting to see the tell-tell volcano in the mosfet; nope the mosfet was laying in the bottom of the case, no volcano in it, just looks like it fell off the board. Is it possible to melt the solder off the mosfet and not do any damage to it?

Once again, I think maybe there is some glue holding that in there as well. Worse case, I guess I could cut the wires about an inch from the connector and splice on some new ones. No big deal there I guess.

Status: online 		Jerry, the Century tail motors have a shorter shaft also. What I did was to turn the large gear around and reinstall it. If you look at the large gear on the tail you will notice that it has a shoulder on each side in the center. The shoulder is longer on one side than the other so depending on which way you install it you can make it closer to the boom or further away from the boom accommodating different shaft lengths on the motor.

With regard to interference, what is everyone doing with the antenna? I still have mine wrapped around the right skid, but that is a terrible thing for getting a good signal and avoiding interference. Wrapping it around the tail boom is out because of the electrical noise generated by the drive to the tail motor.

I just sent a 4 in 1 to Dknovick that had the same problem. Missing mofset. Never found the part. He put a new one in it for me. All fixed, better than new.

They were sold out a few days ago, now they have 3 in stock.

I have not have any problem with the mosfet on the Walkera 4#1 4in1. I own several DF4#1 which are the same as Falcon 40 but I believe the quality is different. I can sell a 4in1 to anybody who has this 4in1 burn out problem. Cost is $15 plus $5 shipping. PM me if you are interested.

Yes the F-40 is feeling somewhat neglected, but not because of the Belt, We have a new Grand Daughter, and our daughter lives with us, so the livingroom is not a good place to fly. And I do not have a garage. So I only fly outside. But I am not flying anything right now as I broke the Belt and am waiting on a Rotor Core. And it is very windy here lately.
