Navy and Stalledout, set your rudder trim on the TX to center. Turn the pot in the 4-in-1 a very small amount (I'm talking less than 1/32" turn on the TX, plug in the battery and test fly. If it isn't were you need it to be unplug the battery, turn the TX off and repeat the above process (in order) until you find the sweet spot with the rudder trim on the TX set at center. The closest I can get mine is one click right on the TX trim and I called that good enough. The tail rotor should start to spin at the same time the main rotor starts.

Just ordered the Falcon 40 and am looking forward to getting my feet wet in this exciting sport. No doubt this will be very habit forming but what's another addiction going to hurt!

Dps, welcome aboard! Best advice I can give you is to read this thread all of it (not in one setting mind you, probably take a month or two)! Almost any question you can think of to do with the Falcon 40 has been answered here. If you can't find the info you need pretty quick just post and someone here will help you out. On your first flight the heli will go left it's normal that's usually the first question most people have.

To add to Bones: The pot is a continuous turn, so it will spin around and around (no stop). One direction will increase the thrust and the other direction will decrease the thrust.
One of these days, I'll put it on an o-scope and see what it's actually doing...

Hey Tomas: That's a great price for the HBK2 considering what you're shipping it with. I totally want it, but I have to be realistic (going on vaca in 2 weeks). I hope you sell it to a good home

Bones and DK. is it best to do it with it off i rember see someware on one of the fourms that you disconnect the main rotor run it up and adjust it wile its running and listen to it till you hear it incress in speed. but if you say to do it off then i will do it that way, you guys havent steared me wrong yet with the exception of DK causing my heli to blowup crash and burst in to flames lol thanks for the help guys.
DK i will get my old 4 in 1 out to you soon, like i sad if it can be fixed then let me know i will send money, if it cant then keep it and part it out if you can and thanks again for the 4 in 1 it works great

Welcome Dps! Glad to have you. When you get your heli take a few minutes and put an auto fuse onto the + wire going from the main motor to the 4-1 receiver. It'll be the pink wire. 7.5amp fuse should be good. This will prevent you from blowing the mosfet on your 4-1 during a crash, which is the most expensive part to replace on the heli. I've blown 2 fuses now and without the fuse it would have been the 4-1 instead. @ $40 a pop it can get real expensive real fast.
Don't get discouraged when you can't fly it right away. It's tuff to get airborn the first time but when you do....what a feeling! Like bones said the heli will go left when you first lift off, this is normal and if trimmed well it will settle in after it's up. this is due to the thrust of the tail motor. Once in flight the heli will lean right a little bit to counteract the thrust but it can't lean right setting on level ground thus the left jump at liftoff. With a little practice it will become second nature to counteract this. I don't even think about it anymore.
One more piece of advice, go online and checkout Radd' School of Rotary Flight http://www.dream-models.com/eco/flying-index.html. If you follow his advice it'll speed you on your way and save you come coin on repairs.
Good luck and welcome to the addiction!

That would be cool. Do you think you could read the firmware in the processor? If so, let me know. That's what I'm curious about.
