Max...The parts look the same to me as well. They are the same exact pictures~! You can order the entire CNC kit from East Coast Hobbies and save $19.42 minus S/H over what you could from Xheli. If someone orders CNC parts for their V2 let the rest of us know. I'm thinking of getting one just to have the 2.4 system and I can use the majority of my spare parts. Ken

Pic's dont work. How does she fly?

I'm very new to the hobby but the first two flights felt a little more akward, I'm not sure it makes a differance. I think it's more the angle of attack of the fly bar blades that were off from when I took it out of the box. It just feels alittle more stable to me, could be just the adjustment of the blades and not the switching of the flybar material.

Jason

There is a set screw in the collar right? I can't see one in the picture.

-Dave

Yes, the collar uses a small allen grub screw to hold it in place.

I know when i flew my F-40 at the stat i put +.5° to +1°. gives you just a touch more lift. make sure teh spaceing from teh paddel to the rotor head is teh same. and blance your flybar. the better the CG is the better it will fly.

Thanks for the advice, I'll have to adjust it a bit more today I think I'm at more than a degree now, but less then when it was shipped. After doing some looking around online I found the tip about leveling the swash plate with the trim before flying a good starting point and it has made it a bit easier to control. I spent 3 battery packs skidding around the floor learning basic controls yesterday (after reading radds school) , getting there.

Awesome! I think that's the best way to go (using Radd's).

Hey Robo, please could you give me some advice, thanks!

Yes Hullaballoo,
Replacing the motor controller mosfets on the Exceed 4-in-1 board is not an easy task, but you can do it. I use a 12 Watt pencil tip Weller (brand) iron, and a very fine gage solder as well. I then use plenty of light and a magnifying visor to see whats going on. I can't solder for jack if I can't see what I'm doing. Be patient, practice on an old circuit board from a roasted VCR or TV. Good luck, Robo

And yes, I'm still flying my original Falcon 40 from way back when. Its my only Heli that flies as all my others are in some sort of semi-crash recovery/repair. I hate my glow powered helis to be Honest. Electric power is so much cleaner and more reliable. Now if they could invent a way to eliminate that dreaded pilot error!!!!!! YOW!!!

Hey robo!

I'm with you there. Used to fly glow planes. What a pain! Now, if they can just up the energy density w/ batteries...

They are starting to eliminate pilot error:

You said you could save 19.42, but I think you maybe had it on AU currency (or am I just bad at math?) the entire kit @ eastcoasthobbies is $37.72 US, plus about $5 for S+H. I got the kit for the original falcon 40, and it makes a very big difference. Hovering is easier, and the reaction time is just a tiny bit slower than the original heads was which made it easier to correct overcompensation. plus, no more broken head parts. It's not like this kit is going to solve all your problems with your heli, it just helps you get the feel for it, which was exactly what I needed (before mine caught on fire from the stupid 4in1 )

If you sre using the OEM charger it can take up to 2 hours possably longer.
A better charger will charge and balance faster, but still about 1 hour or so.
This is the charger that I use https://www.ushobbysupply.com/product_info.php?products_id=403
The nice part about this charger is that you can convert your F-40 to Li-Po and it will charge them too.

7 minutes or so on flight time. Depending on how agressive of a fliyer you are.

I highly reccommend and I do use the MaxPro Low battery moniter.
  https://www.ushobbysupply.com/product_info.php?products_id=942
It will prevent you from running the battery down too low. Never below 3.3v per cell
If you are not familiar a Li-Po should not be draind too low as it will ruin the battery.

I use the Triton2 EQ. It will balance charge lipo, LiFe (A123) and can also handle NiCd, NiMH, Pb for all your battery needs.

The most your suppose to charge Lipo is 1C, so depending on how much you have to put back in, it will take ~1 hour with a good charger.

7 minutes... really? I get longer than that with a 850mAh pack.

After popping the tail rotor off repeatedly, I took the same route and added a collar to hold the tail on. Much better!

Yeah after spending a half hour looking for the tail gear in the yard, I wasn't doing that again. I'd rather have all the parts and know thier broken, then not break them and lose them.
