Once again, my lack of experience has forced me to ask a couple of silly questions.... I have a DA 50 and just got my Slimline Pitts style smoke muffler in. The directions with the muffler say to discard the gasket that came with the motor and use high temp silicone. What is every one else doing, do I use the gasket or silicone? Also, there are some supports that came with the muffler. They will not adequately mount to the motor box so do I need to fabricate a muffler support or just plug the hole with the bolt that came with it? Finally, any of you guys have some pics of your smoke setup? I’m interested in how you mounted the tanks and where you put the pump. I have a Slimline pump also. Thanks for the help!

I used hi-temp silicon, and is working fine.....so far Some people use 5 minute epoxy also.

The mount that came with the muffler should go from the muffler to one of the rear head bolts on the da 50. It does not mount to the motor box. Is that how you are trying to use it?

I fealt the same way at first, but it was no big deal.....One other thing, Check all the bolts on the Da-50 anyway. When mine was brand new out of the box it had a couple loose bolts. Real loose, like not even finger tight.
