K guys, I know I'm hogging up the thread, here.......................I'm about to jet.............I'm running a bit late...............last few pics and I'm out.........
Now.........................the Supa............
For those of you who saw the Harrier landing.................the jet now has four flights on it.............It had three with a JR-10x Receiver and then I switched all of my birds to the Weatronics receivers (which are awesome, totally worth every penny.) Well, of course with dual batteries, more weight etc, the CG and everything had to be redone.............(Thanks again Dave P) The bird flew like it was on rails..........same as before, very very happy with this jet. Then comes the landing.........................well once again.............in a rush to get back in the air..........I forgot to go back in an re-set my #66 Flap to elevator mix (when I flew it before I had the ailerons mixed with flaps and was using tailerons like the full scale, which actually works quite nicely, but you need a bit more up elevator when you go full flap with the ailerons) So I go flying around trying to recoupe some of my manhood.........................turn final hit full flaps and yeee haa, elevators go to 3/4 full up! So I'm pushing down elevator as the jet is doing a Harrier down and Dave is yelling "Power, Power Bryce!" Got REAL lucky on that one, its amazing though, the jet never felt like it was going to stall it just was building a nice decent rate toward terra firma.
Damage limited to what's in my hand and the nose gear shear pin from going in the grass..............once again...........rushing............lucky.

Carlos and Bob. ( Those two fine looking men who as ever seem to be prepping my A-4) The only reason why Team Tam jets flew over 75 flights across the weekend and packed each model back into the trailer in the same condition as they came out! I am sat in a hotel suit at St Louis airport waiting my flight out tomorrow am, reflecting on a great few days. Too many people to thank ( Presta, Jimmy, Duckie, Bob, Carlos, smoking Joe, little big man Tam, My new pit crew Joey, Rob J , Scot and Shui.............. for their support and company. True there were a few set backs over the 4 days but I think in the end it all came together for a memorable event. Which for me was made what it was by the company of the Cali crew. Thanks guys, and I only wish I could return the favour at a UK jet event.

I would like to thank Jerry and his 'kids' for the great show. I had a fun time even though I did not fly very much due to the never-ending flame-outs. I think the event went pretty smooth and I was really impressed with the transmitter impound process they had in place. I have been to other events where the TX impound is pretty casual; this seemed to me to be quite bullet proof against accidental TX turn-ons. So for that, The only thing that I would change for next year would be to have a guy stationed at the end of the runway (even with the end of the saftey fence) to signal to the pilots when their aircraft are past the fence so they can turn off the runway and clear it for those who need to come in quickly. Other than that, hats off!
Frank, you did a great job at the dinner and kept us all in stitches. And no Steve, I am not going to 'spar' with Frank again! I actually thought that the Anti-Static question was a good one!
I would like to thank Kent for coming down and helping me with my JR radio programming issue on my 10S. I still have not figured out the speed brake switch/throttle issue but I am content with just using the lever. I know that you were busy and I appreciate your time.
Bryce, If it weren't for you, I would not have been able to fly. Thanks for letting me tap your electricity. I will definately have either a generator or a reliable battery source for the next one! Thanks again man!
It was nice to meet some of the guys from CA. We've been here on RCU chatting and cutting up on each other, sometimes emotions get kind of wound up but most of the time it's all cool. It is always nice to meet the people you only know from keystrokes so you can finally put a face to them. Joe, I am really sorry you lost your Bandit. That sucks man, especially after Bobby just took your picture with it!
And finally I want to thank David Hudson for dragging my sorry butt up there. You have helped me alot and it is so very much appreciated. Thank you.
Hope to see ya'll next time! Les

Been to a lot of Super-mans,,, Some of my best jet memories have been of Super-man. Not every S-M was as much fun as the other, But I have always had a good time and this year was no different than the other. Jerry had to switch to a site that was not fully in his control and he had to work with people that had probably never been to or knew how to run a jet meet. I am sure of one thing Jerry did his best and now the others involved know what needs to be done and next year will be much better. The only complaints that I heard was the restrictions to the right side of the runway and the positioning of the sun. As far as the restrictions I would agree, but as far as the sun, it was better than the old field by far. So if you need some sunglasses see the Zurich guys and keep em' flying. I fly my Phantom from a 50x800 foot strip so the extra width and runway length were a luxury. Crosswinds are the norm not the exception, anywhere. The fence may have been a little close to the runway for some also, but maybe this could be changed to something lower and more crash friendly. But I would rather hit the fence than a person standing there so the fence really didn't bother me personally. ( see crasher two I believe for my own experience, my red white and blue Bandit. Sorry again Scott!) The last this is the blatant advertising going on unattended in this post! Thanks Jerry and crew will see ya next year! TnTnT!
