Cool OC. This also helps me to match packs since I don't match cells. At the pack level it's easier and since we do recon every month, that's where I might shift a DTX3800 (blue label sticker) with a DTX3800 (yellow label sticker) to maximize both packs. I don't want one pack with 9.06 with the other pack at 8.96v. After I re-pair the packs according to v and mAh, I just change the stickers. When I mention blue/yellow stickers: all of my packs are color coded with a cheap label sticker so I can pair them up better.

Hey, you mentioned that I was analytical didn't ya?

Okay.. I'm spinning up a X642 I picked up from my LHS today on my balancer. Guess this one could run on either boat. BTW, they had a 440/3 hanging on the wall that they just got if anyone is interested. Don't know where they got it as I understand that cut is on gallactic backorder.

I'dlike to take you up on that offer, but I have to try that 1343/3 alum prop first. With the Stinger incident and how his ride handled with his new prop, my batts should be just fine with the 43. If I'm not happy, I give you a buzz.

Doesn't that 440/3 run a little hot?

Oh yeah, it runs a little hot. 'bout 42.6mph to be exact. No, it doesn't heat up the motor. As far as I'm concerned it's an incredible all around prop. Not as quick from a dead compared to a 2 blade, but the handling and top end are the perfect race setup IMHO.

Okay, I'm finished w/ the X642 bsp. Dang, I'm gettin' profecient<sp?> at this...

Almost always 3 bladed props are quicker out of the hole then 2 bladed props as they push a larger volume of water with the extra blade.

Look, I'm not going to get into a pissing match here, but my 2 blades launch hard out of the hole. My P220, in fact, almost seems like it's about to torque the boat into a barrell roll from the drop of the throttle. The 440/3 is the ONLY 3 blade I have run and it cavitates for 2', or so before getting on top of the water. My "theory" is that the third blade produces extra air bubbles that reduces bite. I have video prof of this. Just check the SV Video thread and look at my green SV running the P200 on launch and compare it to my orange SV that has been running the 440/3. I even spun up the 220 on the orange SV oneday just for giggles and grins. Launch was incredible, but the top end paid the price and the handling was way off on the top end. The top end handling deffecencies might have contributed to the lack of a big umber on the top end. If you look at the video w/my SV w/a "wipe out" at the end, you'll notice that the green SV barrel rolled when it got towars the top side for NO reason. Water was flat calm and the tabs were set VERY conservative that day, as noted on the video.

It would seem that the SV's tendencies don't fit into the "almost always" category.

Now a super feather weight hydro may be a totally different story.

Calm Down Hot Shot

Your Prather 220 is 44mm in diameter where as your x440/3 is only 40mm in diameter. I would hope the 220 would be faster out of the hole.

Lol! I gotcha. Good point. Look. I know you've been doing this alot long than I have and I actually put "creadance" in what you have to say. All I have to rely on, however, is what I've seen with my boats.

Now tell me how to get my SS1 running right. I'd be willing to bet you've owned one, or at least, something similar...

I'm having technical difficulties. I think I may have fragged something on my computer last night from the other thread.
MHZusa. But I can't get the site loaded.....keep getting a server error. That dang prop better be on its way.

I love the CF48 and its cousins of mod, but for race day I want a 3 blade. Like you, and many others, if I'm going to split atoms, you gotsda throw her in.

I think ther 1345/3 would be too much for our setup.
