When I decided to get back into nitro trks, I asked a few local guys. They said if you want to race, go with >>>. If you want to have fun, bash, and the biggest, get the Cen. I did, and haven't looked back. It's been a great piece. Not a whole lot of aftermarket, but you don't really need it. Get one and you'll love it.

It is a more advanced truck than the savage, and requires more setup, it's a bit harder to tune (BIG engine), and a bit harder to diagnose problems.
BUT once it's set up... It will absolutely destroy any savage in every way. It's faster, more agile, more powerful, equally tough IMO, bigger, and just all around cooler.
I mean, comeon, just look at the size of the wheels

If you dont mind spending a bit more time getting it tuned and getting the shift points set and suspension setup, then go for the genesis for sure. Whether you race or bash, you will maul a savage.

its not a beginner truck, i can tell you ,you will have problems in the beginning. just like any other truck you need to check all the screws for loctite, if you get the gen le an throttle return spring is a must, mtm brakes, and the engine is a nightmare to tune. do a search and you will see for your self what problems people have. i dont know if they resolved this with the new gst but the other 76 engine is bad. the best thing cen should do at this point is make a different motor mount for these trucks so we can put a different motor in it. but besides the engine its a good truck and dont be discuraged if you want it, when it wants to run it runs well but when it dosent want to you will get blisters trying to start it.
good luck in your decision.
if you want to do wheelies all day long and flip it on its lid everytime the lst2 is waiting for you here is a pic of the body after a day of bashing

OK.
I bought My 'genny LE in Feb of this year. I have beat the poor thing to hell and back and so far the only things that I have broken is a front shock and just recently an upper A arm. The front shock broke coming off of a bad jump from a road into a ditch, about six feet of air and thirty feet of end over end but landed on her feet and kept going. The only reason I knew the shock broke was my bashing buddy noticed something white flying up through the dust.
The A arm I broke by running into a street sign at the beach full speed and caught it just right to go between the tire and chassis to break off the arm from the turnbuckle.
Dumbass me didn't see the sign because I was 90 degrees to the side and (more appropriate) checking out the babes watching the 'Genny tear it up.
My girlfriend thinks it was because she feels like I drive like a maniac anyway!!
On the other side I was showing it off to a friend who is interested in the hobby and was running it at a park with a lot of trees the were shedding pine needles, at one point it spun out and hit a picnic table, I put it into reverse came out and kept going. My friend exclaimed, " Holy S**t! It MOVED the table! Didn't you break something?" I was not worried.
I have about four gallons through her and she still starts up in about the first three or four pulls, (don't spend the money on a roto-start) and runs just as well or better than the first time running.
Like jombo said though it is NOT a beginners truck, the tranny is a pain to adjust, engines a pain to tune and it's a beast to handle. Massive torque twisting to contend with also. She's also a basher not a runner, at full speed she looks like a turkey trying to get up flying velocity but get her into some bumps, hills or put her up against any other 4Wler alive and she looks as graceful and mean as a tiger running down a gazelle. Just don't look for a lot of speed.
Can ya' tell, I love my 'Genny!!!!

I have had my genesis LE since last january, it was my first non radio shack rc. I have definently learned a lot from it, but it ALWAYS has ran great for me, half the time it starts on the first pull if I prime it right. It freakin hauls for its size, I don't know why some people bash on the engine, its just as fast (or faster
) then my friends .28 savage and the easiest to tune out of all my friends nitro trucks (savage and 2 t-maxx). the thing can also take a beating, the only times I have really broke something was running into a concrete pillar at full speed after doing a massive jump, that broke an a-arm and a knuckle, and once we got the bright idea to stuck clays ( clay pigeons, that you throw and shoot) into the rear bumpers of the genny and the savage and then go at it trying to break the clays, I was winning becuase my tires stick out pass the bumper, but colliding with the savage at full speed broke the plastic steering thing, so a new aluminuim one was needed. But other then that it has taken tons of beating, like mudding in about 5 inches of drainage ditch water, and playing in huge gravel pits, and it likes it. The only thing really lacking with the genesis in my opinion was the steering radius, i couldn't turn like the smaller trucks, so I put 4-wheel steering on it, now it flat spins on pavement if I want it to. So far it has been great, powerful and strong, I would definently recomend it.

I was never a huge fan of CEN Racing's products until last year when they finally came out with a race car (the Matrix). I got one on a suggestion from a buddy of mine (he had been winning at his local track with his Matrix).
So I went to the LHS and had them order me one. I really liked it out of the box. Now I have 3 of them, with the whole family enjoying the Matrix for racing. So after my great experience with the Matrix I wanted something other than the Revo for bashing around (everyone knows that Revos are crap for bashing). So since I had had so much fun with my Matrix I decided to get a Genesis LE and a Nemesis for my son! Great decisions on both parts! Now my son and I hold it down at our favorite bashing spots and also kick ass at the local club races in the monster truck class!
So I decided to get my daughter the magnum nx and I just purchased another a GST to replace my Genesis LE which was stolen from the track (I guess my competition stole my truck...er?) I'm really happy with all my CEN products and everything that we had before (Kyosho's and the revo's) went up on Ebay!
Thank you CEN for making great products!
My suggestion is to get on this band wagon and add something to your RC lineup that is made by CEN Racing!

The engine is an RD Logics .25. I'm looking to get $300 shipped as that will almost allow me to break even on the cost of the truck, radio, engine, extra parts for wing kit and the steering servo. The steering servo is a tower hobbies 70, I added an LX comp rear shock tower, wing mount, and wing and bought the parts to still use the stock Blazer mounts. Let me know if you need more pics or whatever.
