Yes,

It is a very good excuse to buy another F-16 with the scheme you like it even a little boring.

I have the decals from Tailor Decals that scheme and paint the 555 F-16 as your Tor though I have yet to learn to land on shorter runways ....

Darn, guys - you read me like an open book!! But hey, I don't need an excuse, I'll just go ahead and order one!
Craig, I love the new gear, the old one was a lot of trouble to set up, but I finally got it adjusted right and it could take a lot
of beating. The only annoying thing about the new one is that it doesn't lock in the down position, so as the air slowly leaks
out of the sytem (in a few days), the gear may collapse. I know Staale drilled a small hole in each leg and stuck a pin through
it, I usually store my plane with a support under it and just fill up the air for transportation.

Speaking of transport, here in Norway you can buy a car specifically for transport, then you only get the front seats and right
behind your back you have a metal grid or wall. My Chevrolet Tahoe has the metal mesh or grid. As a transporter with 2 seats
only, it cost almost $90.000!!! With all 5 seats, it costs around $200.000!!!! I have no plans to change my car, both because
of the insane price level AND because I have the only one in Norway with an official written permit to cut a hole in the metal mesh
"for the single purpose of transporting a model airplane"!!
For this reason, I can't buy a bigger F-16 - the SM 1:6 fits exactly inside the car with stabs and rudder attached - so, it's gonna be
another Skymaster!!!

The newer G1 F-16s have a hole drilled in the gear.

Tor, I hope your transportation costs are from the Krone and not USD!

Hi Peter -
yes, they painted it, and now I think they will deliver the
555 model with the correct eagle head and the green stripe
with the "Triple nickel" logo -
the first version they made with the vulture and the red stripe
was a mix between the 510 and the 555 squadrons.

FWIW

I've the latest version of the LDG. Approx. 5 years old with <100 cycles.
I suddenly got problems with the NLG, air continued to be released after full movement.
I dissembled the NLG cylinder and found a "stress crack" in the outer flange of the plastic piston. This made it impossible for the two seals to keep air escaping from the "rod-side" to the outer-side.
I dissembled the two MLG cylinders as well and found a beginning of a crack in one of the pistons.

I got in contact with Li Kai, who told me that pistons now was made out of aluminum. (from which date I'm unaware)
A few days later new pistons arrived in the mail! With a small modification to MLG piston rod lengths, the system is now airworthy again. Thank you.

Thomas

Well, guys, the order is in and a G2 will soon be on its way to Norway!!
This time it will be a Norwegian scheme like the one in the pictures, as
we are flying F-16s here and will continue to do so for the next 10 years!

I still haven't decided if I'll move the trusty P180 to the new plane or buy
a new and slightly stronger one, but I do believe that 20 kg is enough!

And now the power plant has been decided - a Behotec JB220 with 220 N thrust will be more than enough
power for the new F-16, and from the experience here in Norway, it seems very reliable and trouble free!

Can't wait to get started, it will probably have the maiden on ice like the last one!

Hi Tor,

Looking forward to see your new G2 next year - good choice with the Norwegian colors and with the new dorsal fin and drag chute it will be very scale

Will you paint it in country or will it be done by Skymaster?

Best regards,

Jens

My G2 is finally here! Skymaster did a fantastic job on the custom theme. This bird is getting a BF300 turbine. I know some may think that this is a tired theme, but since I got into Jets this is the theme I've always wanted because I live in Arkansas. No one else has this theme in a 1/6th size.

Nice, Andy - this will be a rocket with the 300!!! Will you use slats and flaps/ailerons on this one?
Jens - the basic paint will be done by SM, and all the decals put on here to make it as scale as possible.

Yeah, I will have to use power management. I'm looking for vertical performance not so much speed. No slats or flaps. Just ailerons. I was going to put a P200 in it but the BF300 is here and I'll probably use that instead just because I have it. I'm moving toward a different turbine to save weight on my CARF A4. Which by the way, I'm having the nose gear completely redesigned to work right now.

Andy, that's really nice! Surprised you're not going to stuff the 300 in your F-4.

Hi, Jens

yes, we now have 2 versions 1/6 F-16 are available, when you decide the color schemes , we will make the scale small dorsal fin or Drag Chute fin for your coloe scheme,

Hi Anton,

Thank you - but it is a little more complicated. The dorsal fin to the left in your reply is the F-16 C/D version - with a “wide” dorsal fin and the dorsal to the right is the “narrow or small” F-16 A/B version with drag chute.

The dorsal fin on the F-16 A/B version is smaller and your version with the drag chute looks very scale. If you look at the dorsal fins in front of the vertical fin – the C/D version is wide and the A/B version is narrow or small. The F-16 A/B without drag chute will require a third option – where the drag chute is removed – and requires a new molding of the aft part of the A/B dorsal fin.

I fully understand if you only want to have two different versions – just a scale question
