For my 2 first F-16's, I had the antenna behind the cockpit, I guess it's just a matter of
where it will be accessible and easy to check, maybe combined with the distance from
the turbine.

Hello, my fellow Falcon owners!

I'm just beginning to order elctronic parts for my baby. I bought 2 JR-DS8711 Servos for the Elevons, 2 JR-DS8611 Servos for Flaps, 1 JR-DS8611 for Rudder and 1 JR-DS8411 Servo for nose wheel steering. I'v also purchase a Duralite Powerbox 40/24, 1 Ultra Presicion UP6 Break Valve, 1 UAT and 1 JR G500A Gyro. What other electronic component will I need?

I've seen a few pictures of F-16's with Jet-Tronic single action Proportional Electronic Break Valve and Jet-Tronic Dual action Retract or Gear Door Valve.

I intend using Futaba's 2.4 ghz 12 Channel Transmitter and receiver.

Any suggestions on other components to get, short of a Turbine will be greatly appreciated.

Also what kind of Servo Arms do you all use?

Thanks.

Hi!
I would definitely use JetTronics valves for the gear, doors and brakes, and also the JetTronic sequencer
as it is very easy to set up and adjust. I use aluminium servo arms, the ones with a small unbrako screw
that tightens it on the servo.
I have 2 flight batteries of 2700mah each for my Weatronic receiver.
Apart from that, the only thing you should invest in because it looks good is Dreamworks lights - really cool!

How many Jet-Tronic valves would I require and which type do I get? I have the Jet-Tronic Gear Door Sequencer.
1.)Jet-Tronic two way valve.
2.)Jet-Tronic break valve.

You will need 2 two-way valves (one for the gear, one for the doors) and 1 brake valve. The single
valve for the brakes can be configured two ways, as a proportional brake valve or as a on/off gear
valve. There are only two different JetTronic valves, so 2 two-ways and 1 single.

Thank you Big brother. You are awesome! What about metal arms for my servos. What kind with I need for the elevons and flaps, (short arm or full arm). I believe I'll need full arm for the rudder, correct?

For the elevons, I have long alu-arms, but as you can see in the picture, the rod is positioned on the innermost hole.
On the next picture, you can see that I used a full composite arm for the rudder, and the mod I made to the elevon
mechanism. On the last picture, you can see the EXTREMELY tough connection I made for the flaps, as I was worried
about the forces. However, I have never even tested the flaps...

Do you use a short half arm on the servos for the flaps?

Hi fiifiward
Is your gear of F-16 (1/6) old or new version? If it is old version, using any kind of valve is OK. But if it is new version, it is better not to use Jet-Tronic 2-way valve because when you turn off Rx this electronic valve will bleed all pressure in retract cylinders and cause gear clap. New version gear can get positive-locking in extension position by a little pressure on extension-side piston, so any valve that can keep pressure in retract cylinders after Rx power turned off can be used.(example: Robart or Skymaster servo drived mechanical valves)

I use long half arm for the flaps, as they need to protude out above the wing skin.

Hi Likai:

I bought this ARF Plus through Dan Gill, owner of Details4Scale about a month ago so I presume the scale landing gear is the new type. Can you suggest all the eelectronics and nuematic systems I'll need to have to complet the build? For receiver, I'll use Futaba's 2.4 ghz receiver 14 channel and buy a Jet Central Rhino to power it.

I have purchased JR servo's for the Elovons, Rudder Flaps and nose wheel steering. I have also purchased a Duralite power box 40/24 and a UPV6 Break valve.

What other electronics do I still need?

Thanks.

Because I don't know what type of servos you use. So except servos, I think those equipments you use in your F-16 are OK.
Is Futaba's 2.4Ghz 14 channel availible now? I'm waiting it for a long time!

I will not be purchasing the 14 Mz radion from Futaba becasue it's cost is way out of my reach, I will however get the 12 Channel version which comes with a 14 channel receiver.

From what I understand, from your last post, I should be in great shape with the electronics I'v puchased so far?

Thanks
