Michael:

I just bought an Evo 12 and am also having problems programming the radio. Could you please provide the link to the website with the tutorial.

Thanks,
Ed

The tutorial is not much help, it is gear toward heli and glider to. Its about 300+ pages long. Multiplex needs to realize that plane pilot count to.
I think when I get this thing figured out it will be great. But I see why so many have bought them and gave up the manual pretty much sucks!

If there is any info on airplane programming that is plane only, not plane mixed with everything else, Please let me and others know.

Thank you
Jeff

If you guys have specific programming questions and or needs why not start a thread in the General radio forum requesting same. RCU has many modelers that will share there insight with you. The EVO TX once learned/understood is really quite simple to program. As your realizing the programming hierarchy is completely different than Asian TX's.

Jeff:

I woudl tend to agree that once the programming is understood, the radio will probably great. My problem is that it is not ver intiutive and there is no programming flow chart like my JR 10's

Michael:

the point that we are trying to make is that while the radio may be very flexible once the programming is understood, Multiplex should really do something about the rather poor layout and flow of the manual. While you may not have a high regard for the Asian programming flow but it makes more sense to me than the Multiplex. The manual keeps referring you from one page to another rather than have the manual follow the flow of the programming functions. It just doen't flow well. Maybe you need to have someone that is not intimately familiar with the programming functions rewrite the manual to make it more user friendly. I consider myself reasonably competent when programming radios, but this manual is a dismal failure.

Just my opinion.

Ed

My Evo is much easier to program than any of my previous transmitters including Airtronics, Futaba, and Hitec radios. All I had to do was follow the flow chart in the tutorial. After the first model was successfully programmed, I only needed the manual when trying something new and the manual seldom leaves my book case. That never happened with my other transmitters. Hang in there.
