No I have 2- Aeroslave Aries 2 meter for pattern, I have a 31% CA extra for IMAC. I made last years bootcamp but I took off in Pattern in 06. Since the bootcamp is just for fun and learning I'll try to use it to see where I belong. I'd rather be challenged than collect trophies, both is a real challenge.

" This field is real close to a lake and we get good breezes coming off of it. If anyone is interested in looking at the site their website is www.clubnetrc.com they have pictures of the field there. It is located in Mt. Pleasent. Tx. Northeast Tx. "

Hey guys

OK so far everything is looking good. I have spoke with Doug and the dates work fine. I will be trying to get in contact with the area motels to get us the special rates like last year. As soon as the semester is over here at school I am going to get working hard on the workshop. Ryan, the field is in Mt. Pleasent Tx. Its about a 45 min drive from Longview.

Eddie, I still have the workbooks from last year, I would only have to add the 2007 sequences to make them ready for the workshop. I can also do up certificates again and lumber for the mini contest. Let me know.

Jarrod, sounds good. If it were me, I would go ahead and put the 2007 sequences into the workbooks for sure. Also, I would check for any rule changes (such as the no pilot & dash required for 2007) and incorporate them as well - DRAFT OF COURSE UNTIL EDDIE GIVES THE FINAL GO-AHEAD. There is also something in the 2007 sequence/rules that says something about the lenght of lines between figures so read it carefully. One more potential area is that of presentation and keeping the planes' flight line close enough in for the judges to see. Maybe Rick Byrd can chime in here and elaborate in greater detail.

Anyway, once Eddie gives you the go-ahead you're in business.

Bobby,

You will still need a pilot and dash panel in 2007. That rule change proposal did NOT pass when voting was completed by the AMA Scale Aerobatic Contest Board. Remember that IMAC sent proposals to the AMA for consideration. AMA will also consider rule change proposals from the general AMA membership. It is the AMA Scale Aerobatic Contest Board that makes the final decisions on the proposed rule changes.

For a listing of the proposals that went to the AMA Scale Aerobatic Contest Board click the following link.

http://www.modelaircraft.org/Comp/2007Proposals/scaleaerobatics.htm

The next link is the results of balloting by the AMA SACB, two proposals did not pass, the pilot/panel rule change being one of them.

Anna Wood

Thank you for clearing that up Anna. The way it's happened witht he two boards and separate voting has really confused a lot of us.

I have been on the phone and with area motels. Some will give us a break if we commit to a certain number of rooms. I have explained that this is hard to do since anything can change from now. Anyway the motels listed below are the ones I spoke to. Exec Inn .....I am waiting to hear what their room rate will be. Remember that you have to let them know that you are with the IMAC workshop to get the special rates.

Executive Inn / Suites

I stayed at the Comfort Inn last year. It and I think the Executive Inn are on the north side of town just off of I-30. The Comfort Inn is a nice place and has a great trailer parking area.

Last year I spent most of the two affair helping all of the basic pilots trim and fly their planes. I only flew my own plane once only because I pulled the trailer. I may not pull the trailer this year and waste the gas. Besides, I really enjoyed helping out all of the new guys!!

With Rick coming this year it will give you more flight time to practice. Bring your plane. I am starting this week to put an agenda together for the two days. Hopefully the weather co-operates this year too.

Good point Eddie. I'll keep my eye on whether or not Rick can make it. It he can't then I won't bring my plane, but if he makes it I will.

Bobby, I'm going to be there. I'm bringing my Yak, now I may not get to fly it. It's going with me. Jeff Fisher and myself will be there.
