My husband and I received in trade this scale model, gas powered radio controlled airplane. It is old, but in excellent condition. The attention to detail amazing, and it is quite beautiful. Looking to find out what it is and its value.
Thank You,
Bill and Nancy

Looks like a JN-4 Jenny. Several manufacturers kit this airplane, but my guess is that it's a Proctor kit. What are the dimensions?

It IS a beautiful model!

It looks like a Proctor Jenny to me as well. They are museum quality kits are yours looks every bit the example.

From the size compared with the table it looks like it was made from the old Joy Jenny kit. It was as detailed as a Proctor but had about a 72" wingspan. The Proctor is much larger at 96" or bigger. Don

The Joy kit was built much more lightly (fragile), and smaller than that. I vote for Proctor.

In view of the size/length to the table I see in sitting on, my vote is for the Bud Nosen 96 inch span model too.

Thank you everyone for your input, I did measure the plane and from forward edge of the wing it is 81" wide. Nose to tail 55". I have very good shots of the engine if anyone would like to see them to help. Does anyone know the value of this plane and how to market it? Like I said, it is in excellent condition. Not a tear, mark or seam problem.
Thank you all again,
Bill and Nancy Hair

I change my mind and think this is definitely a Proctor. Measure from the tip of the ailerons at the extreme tips and the wingspan should be 871/2". What engine, radio if any and does it have a documentation package. This all has a bearing in the value of the airplane. It is probably worth in the $1000- $2000 range but is only worth what someone will pay for it. From the picture it does look very nice but it must be built well and straight to be worth the high end of the scale. Don
