I'd like to welcome Tommy Chen and NitroModels to their own support forum on RCU. It is here you the members will be able to speak directly with the guys from NitroModels and get support for the items they carry. Enjoy.

This is pretty cool. I have noticed that Nitro Models has gotten the word out about there products alot faster than the other guys have. I am very intrested in there P-38 and was wondering if anyone has or has attempted to install retracts in this bird.Let me know if they have or if it can be done. Thanks flyboy12

Ok some questions from someone who has puchased a number of your planes...

1 - Replacement parts, are they available for your planes and how do we purchase them?
If not, WHY NOT?????
2 - What is the story with the Missing Templates for the Ultimate 40S?
3 - Can't you do something about the horrid assembly manuals?
4 - Your web page planes always seem to be sold out! What's up with this?
Especially since the same planes are listed here.
5 - Why not issue an RCU "discount" code to those purchasing from the web page? (Post it here!)
This is easier than using your listing here, since we can go ahead and pay by credit card.
6 - Please stock more of the Tower Pro High Torque standard servos!

Hay FlyBoy12,
There is a build thead in the Twin Engine forum...and it has a good bit of info on the kit.

My opinion of NitroPlanes (the compay in Calif.)...is...lets just say, I'll never do business with these folks again...EVER. AK-Models sell the same planes...with a good price, has good customer service and they will answer you phone calls and e-mails. NitroPlanes doesn't have a clue what customer service is.

Both the mid size and large P-38's fly well, but you may want to do several mods to the larger kit. It has no provisions for retracts, and the nose gear placement is way off scale in the stock kit. The fuel tank placement is low...so it's inverted engines, or you will have to use fuel pumps for side mounted engine placement, or use engines with fuel pumps (I used Perry fuel pumps on my kit). There are other issues with the kit, but not difficult to make right. There is a good bit of info in the Twin Engine forum on this kit...plus a good write up here at RCU.

Soft landings always,
Bobby of Maui

I second the questions posed by OPJOSE..
1.When will you carry parts for the stuff you sell.
2. How many e-mails / phone messages does it take to get your attention.
3. If you ship a kit that has broken parts why is it our problem (the customer)
Example: I reported a major issue to you the day I received my kit. 7 E-Mails and 10 phone messages later I get an e-mail that says you are out of the kit and you can do nothing about it. This was a month and a half after I had first brought the issue to your attention. All I can say is thank god you don't fly at my field and you will never see my money again..

I fear this support forum may go the way of the VMAR support forum.

Recently purchased an electric version of the "Long Easy". Would like to know if the plane can be flown without the canard wing by using the ailerons, hooked up as a V tail instead? Would like to use the area provided for the canard wing as a platform for video camera as it would be very convenient. Any help here? Thanks

Well I just e-mailed Nitroplanes directly telling them to come here and get to work!

We'll see if they show up.

Hello everyone. I am the representative for Nitroplanes and will be here to answer all your questions to the best of my knowledge. We here at Nitroplanes believe that you, our customers, are bright and knowledgeable people. As we carry many items and have a small staff, we are unable to gather all the technical questions that you may require. This is why we have opened a forum, so that you can share the knowledge you have on our kits with each other. This will provide our customers with a better experience and will help to keep our prices the lowest on the internet. Rest assured, we stand by the products we sell.
