Hi,

I'm not quite a pre-newbie...I bought one of these:

http://www.grandhobby.com/smmi3ddrve2r.html

without knowing any better, but it was only about $30 to see if I thought I'd like all this,
and I think I do. So far it seems people suggest staying away from Walkera, so that
narrows it down a little. The Blades are a bit over the price I want to spend. I was already
aware of and considering a Honey Bee, and thinking about this 4 channel:

http://www.xheli.com/new20esho4ra.html

and now I've seen good comments about that company in this forum. I'm also aware of
and wondering about the Eagle 50 Mini RC Helicopter:

http://www.nitroplanes.com/new6exea3dcc.html

which looks to be the same as the 50H03_RotorFlySilver:

http://www.xheli.com/63drrarecorc.html

Does anyone have comments about it/them? They look to have some good strong
metal parts, so so far they look like good quality to me and they're 6 channel...though
I still don't really know what that means.

From this forum I've learned about Radd's and flingwing's schools of flight, and would
like to learn of anything else like that people care to suggest. Also any glossaries.
Are there other good discussion forums too?

Thanks for any help!
David

6 channel: controls 6 things, throttle, aileron, elevator, yaw, pitch and something else (I'm not sure).
4 channel: controls 4 things, throttle, aileron, elevator and yaw.
That's a pretty basic outline of 4 and 6 ch heli's.

I guess I'll go ahead and pay the extra $50 for a six channel instead of four, and hope I'm
glad I did at some point. If not, it sure won't be the first $50 I didn't put to good use

You're right. So that narrows it down to the Honey Bee for me. At least
that part's finally done.
