Status: offline 		I recently began assembling my Yak54 and can't find the intruction for reinforcing the landing gear. Does anyone have the instructions that they could e-mail to me?

Status: offline 		How old is your Yak? Mine arrived last week with a ziplock bag which included the parts to reinforce the landing gear and some better hardware.

Status: offline 		Thanks for the note. I received the hardware and reinforcement but lost the direction on how to beef up the landing gear area. Can you scan and e-mail the instructions to me? They don't have them on their web site.

Status: offline 		I have one of the original QB Yaks and was unaware of any plans to reinfoece the gear. Is this info available on line, and is there a 'kit' we can make, get or buy for this improvement

Status: offline 		That's basically the original question I was asking. I do know that they now send a seperate set of wood blocks and instructions on how to reinforce the landing gear. I have the parts but lost my plans for the reinforcement part. Aeroworks only has the plans for the entire plane on their web site and not for the reinforcement pack.

I'm trying to find someone who can respond and scan their reinforcement plans in and e-mail them or publish to this group.

Status: offline 		you should have two blocks that are notched out they go in from the under side facing the the top of the plane if you have it upside down. they glue in right next to the fuse runners from the landing gear side. U will have to sand a bit to get them to fit up next to the wood that is aready there. These piece run from front to back with Notches laying over the horizontal piece thats there and slide up next to the outer runners they support down into the fuse. Hope this helps.

Status: offline 		Thanks. I have the two pieces and now understand how they go in place. It doesn't seem to be much more reinforcement to keep the gear from pulling out based upon the other comments regarding the gear box construction. Let me know if you or anyone else has had to go beyond that for reasonable reinforcement.
