Hi, I'm looking for a new digital camera, in the 200 buck range. I currently live in Germany, where normally EVERYTHING is WAY more expensive than in the States.. Not so sure though when it comes to cameras..

Basically, I want it mostly for filming my RC's(MT's - Savage and soon an LST2..), as well as for travelling, normal camera stuff.. It needs to be very small and fit easily in my pocket, have video, at least 5MP, and at least 3x optical zoom..

So far, I've found these:

1.) http://www.mediaonline.de/shop/ProductDisplay?storeId=5000&categoryPath=5000.12004.10014.95005&jspStoreDir=mediamarkt&productId=244610&langId=-3&catalogId=5000&ddkey=CategoryDisplay - expensive, but prob my first choice.. Would this or something comparable be cheaper in the States???? Coming for a visit next week...

2.) recommended by a friend in the States..:

3.) seems cheap:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7900989&st=cyber-shot&type=product&id=1149206371635

Basically though, it's all pretty bewildering what's what. I just want the best you can get for 200 bucks or so(splitting it with my girlfriend..) Needs to have a low delay for action shots(my Sav isn't as fast as a plane, but still...)

Thanks..

I have the Casio EX-S600 "card" camera. Love it. 6MP camera also shoots 30 frames per second video. You can even plug into the TV for playback on a big screen. Ebay or Elec. Express will have good prices.

For $200 there is quite a huge range. If you are going to NY check out J&R and others that are all located within a short distance, that way you get to actually feel one.
Look on Amazon to get a feel for whats out there and who the sellers are.
Dpreview is a good site as mentioned.
If you are buying here watch out for the warranty as you may not be able to get it honoured in Europe...sucks but its true with some manufacturers.

Thanks, but I just went ahead and got a Sony DSC-W 30(6MP, nice and compact, screen somewhat small..) I tried out several at the shop, and the Sony seemed to take pics the quickest.. Was €200, but plus +€50 more for a GB memory card... Basically everybody I asked said something different..
