Hi,
A BatShare 2Pak is just 2 BatShares in one package. You save a bit buying the 2-Pack.
Let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

Hi, rrritchey,

Thanks for your reply.

Just a question next. I saw the picture of BatShare and it comes with 2 input (which is from battery through switch) but the output has 2. If one would go into Receiver battery then what would the need of the other output goes into?

Sincerely,

Jong

Hi Jong,
The other output can go into any open slot. The power on a recevier is common across all
the slots, there is nothing special about the battery slot.
Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

Hi, Robert,

That's sound like another backup input into the receiver, is that correct?

Just the last question for BatShare. I'm using Futaba PCM 1024 -149DP receiver. Does my receiver has the "common across all the slots" to support for 2 power input from BatShare?

Thanks for filling me the information.

Sincerely,
Jong

Hi Jong,
Its two things actually. Primary is actually getting more current into the receiver with less voltage drop across the wire and connector. Second, it is a redundant connection.
All receivers are common across all the slots. The only difference on the battery input on some receivers is that the battery input supports DSC, Direct Servo Control, while
the other slots are servo outputs.

Hi, Robert,

I like the idea of redunducy battery input and dual loading with low voltage loading. I also appreciate of you giving attention on Receiver channel connection, which I never knew it until now. Actually, BatShare will save me hassle to get another battery because it support to different capacity which happens that I have now 6v battery of 1450mah and another 1650mah.

By the way, must is be same battery chemical? example: primary 6v (NiCD) and secondary 6v (NiMH) or primary 6v and secondary 4.8v.

Thank you.

Jong

Hi Jong,
The BatShare can only be used with 5-cell NiCd/NiMH or with lithium packs. It will not work with 4-cell packs because it has a 1/2-volt drop across it. You can probably mix NiCd and NiMH, I have not tried that.

My question is: Can you run two recievers off of one bat share since it has two outputs?

Warren

Hi Warren,
I suppose you could but it depends on the size of the plane how this will work. If you run a single wire to each receiver you will have more voltage drop across the wire and connector than if you ran two in parallel.

There's a Batt Share that comes with a Deans connector. What is the connector for? Also, for a 35% model with 8 digital servos, which Batt Share would you recommend? Thx

Hi Mike,
The BatShareHD, which has a Deans on the output, is generally used with the PowerExpander Sport. If you are running all the servos off the receiver the standard BatShare is the only one that makes any sense. If you are using 2.4GHz I would not recommend running all these servos off the receiver.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.

I will be using 2.4 and I guess the concern you pointed out is due to voltage drops. What would be your recommendation then for a 35%?

Hi Mike,
Do you want to run NiCd/NiMH or lithium batteries? If you want to run NiCd/NiMH then I would suggest looking at our PowerExpander Pro. If you want to run lithium batteries then I would suggest our SuperReg and PowerExpander Sport (Flight Pack 1).
Please let me know if you have any more questions.
