Status: offline 		I recently manufactured a foam plug with ply cross sections. Over the plug, I coated it with one layer of a 2 oz glass cloth and West Systems epoxy resin. Something happened during the curing stage and the cloth ended up with puddles of resin. wrinkles all over and gaps where the cloth pulled over corners. Is there a way I can remove the cured fiberglass? I don't care if I remove some of the foam as I can replace and re-shape that. I just need to get the cloth off.

Any advice?

Status: offline 		Dynasolve has some epoxy solvents but they need to be heated up and they work very slowly. The heat will destroy the foam with it. So beats me. Perhaps only a mechanical solution to your problem i.e. sanding ?

Status: offline 		HI goony here, I am afraid that its a grinder or nothing?
when covering with epoxy the finished item should look almost dry as u should have scrapped or squiged the resin of with somthing like a credit card if u use the wifes u can save some money at the same time when trying to mould around edges with woven cloth u will find it easier to cut the cloth at 45 deg instead of 0/90 as in the angle that the weave goes this allows it to fold around corners better hope this helps
