I'm new to nitro rc cars and was wondering if it is normal to hear the servos make noise. I realize it is normal when the power switch is turned on but the noise I'm referring to is after that. Keep in mind none of the controls are being engaged?

Yes, it is common for the servos to make a little noise. It should go away after you move the servo and there is no load on it.
